Brief history of the brand

The unique product began its journey to the consumer in 1886, when the Frenchman Charles Lamothe and his Spaniard partner Fernando Jimenez founded the Jimenez & Lamothe Company in Malaga. The company was engaged in the manufacture of brandy, wines, liqueurs and other spirits.

In 1916, the company was sold to the Marquis de Larios, who began to use his surname as the name for the company and the gin produced. This is how the Larios Dry Gin brand was born, which later became famous all over the world.

The new owner paid special attention to the authentic design of the bottles, by which the Spanish drink began to be instantly recognized by fans.

By the 80s, Larios gin became the best-selling gin in Spain, and in the 90s conquered foreign markets.

The growth of popularity was facilitated by the publication of its own calendar with the participation of fashion and film stars. Today the brand is owned by BeamSuntory.
