King did not like this situation, and he was looking for an invention that could instantly make him a millionaire. In the summer of 1895, he succeeded, the inventor came up with a safety razor, and soon he was able to find money for production. In the first year of the company’s existence, only 51 razor sets and 168 razor blades were sold. This result was not the best start. But after 3 years, brand sales increased rapidly. Rumors about the perfect razor began to spread at an instant rate. Already in 1905, about 250 thousand such goods and even more blades were sold. In the same period, a factory was opened in Paris and an office in London.

Around this period, the already wealthy King decided to put his business on hold. He sold the majority of his shares and purchased a California property. There he spent the rest of his life, until his death in 1932.
