Very soon the uncorking and pouring of the cider will return by the sea.
The Natural Cider Festival returns to the west beach of the Asturian city of the sea par excellence, Gijón, during the next 24 to 30 August.
They will be gastronomic days, full of playful activities and above all full of content around the traditional drink of the principality, the Cider.
Throughout different locations within the city, the activities scheduled with the municipal council for this festival, declared of Regional Tourist Interest.
There will be no shortage of popular tastings of cider and its raw material, apple, which together with the Cider bus, El Mercadín and crowded escanciado, will irrigate the attendees with this delicious low-alcohol fermentation.

This year it is expected to beat the record of almost 9000 people pouring at the same time on the west beach, a delicious image of the traditional Asturian art when serving Cider.
Gijón’s summer will not end until the different urban art activities, workshops and pouring courses and the Official pouring competition conclude in the last days of the celebrations, with the consequent delivery of the award on the last day of the festivities, in the plaza. A long week of cider that will surely accompany the local gastronomy with enthusiasm, where the chorizo washed down with the festive liquid, or the excellent potato tortillas, will leave room for the not inconsiderable meats with cabrales or the excellent rice pudding for dessert.
The Cider Festival is undoubtedly one of the great events of the Cantabrian coast in these last days of August, which fill the city and its surroundings with visitors seeking to enjoy leisure, gastronomy and tourism.
