The Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate has banned the sale of another series of two drugs for hypertension: Valsartan and Valsargen. The reason GIF decided to withdraw them from the market was the warning from the European Rapid Alert system that their active ingredient, valsartan, was contaminated by N-nitrosodiethylamines.

The decision of the Chief Pharmaceutical Inspector to withdraw specific series of drugs from the market means that they cannot be sold in pharmacies throughout Poland, in addition, the product is blocked in the computer systems of pharmacies, which is an additional protection against possible disposal.
