Flow type water heaters are produced by a Chinese manufacturer. Wall columns are equipped with a heat exchanger, passing through which the water is heated. Automatic ignition allows you to get hot water immediately after opening the mixer.

Design features:
- Traction control sensor. Monitors the presence of ventilation in the chimney. If the chimney is clogged, the draft stops, which leads to the ingress of carbon monoxide into the room. To avoid this, the sensor turns off the operation of the column.
- Flame ionizer. Controls the presence of a flame in the burner. As soon as it goes out, the gas valve closes to prevent leakage.
- Drain valve or frost protection. Before a long shutdown of the equipment, the water can be conveniently drained through the valve. Freezing, the liquid expands, which leads to breakage of pipes. Therefore, when turning off for the winter, use the device.
- Protection against switching on without water or flow sensor. Fixes the speed of water flow. If liquid has not entered the system, heating will not start.
- Safety valve. Discharges excess water when the pressure rises above 1 MPa.

Equipment malfunctions
Repair of the water heater can be done independently, if you correctly determine the cause of the breakdown. Why does the device fail? Let’s look at common problems.
Instruments with a display may show error codes on the screen. Symbols indicate a specific problem with the system.
The burner does not ignite. The malfunction may be manifested by error E6. If auto ignition does not turn on, it is worth checking the batteries. They are mounted in a block at the bottom of the column. The block is closed with a lid on latches or a screw. Open the cover and replace the dead elements.
Open combustion chamber technology requires good ventilation in the room. Open the vent for fresh air. Check the chimney. Garbage from the street, foliage could get into the mine, soot accumulates on the walls. All this interferes with normal traction. Clean the shaft or contact the utilities.
Leakage. A leak can happen in the heat exchanger, water unit, connections or pipes. It is important to check everything consistently. If the problem is not corrected, the pressure in the system will drop, as well as the temperature in the room.
Inspect the heat exchanger. If you notice green spots on the surface, these are signs of corrosion and fistula formation. You can try soldering the damage. To do this, drain the water and dry the knot. Clean the damaged area with fine sandpaper and degrease with a solvent.
Choose a soldering iron with a power of 100 watts or more. Heat it up to 160°C. Use an aspirin tablet as a flux, and tin for solder. The thickness of the solder must be at least 2 mm.
Check the water node. To do this, shut off the water and fuel supply, dismantle the casing. Below the heat exchanger is a node. Remove it from the mounts and inspect. Additionally, it can be disassembled and the diaphragm and stem can be checked. If one of the elements is worn out, replace it.
Make sure the thread is tight. Connection points are one of the most vulnerable elements. If a leak is found in them, you must either tighten the nuts or replace the gaskets. Shut off the water and unscrew the thread with a wrench. Take out the old gasket, remove deposits and degrease the place. Put a new gasket, assemble everything in reverse order.
The leak in the pipe is eliminated in the same way as in the heat exchanger – by soldering.
When ignited, the burner emits a flame. This is possible with:
- Badly opened gas valve. Open to the end.
- Unstable pressure in the gas pipeline. Wait for recovery or contact the repair service.
- Incorrect flame regulation. Change burner position.
Crackling noise during operation. Clean the burner from soot and dust, remove scale from the heat exchanger.
Smell of gas in the room. Fuel leak. Close the valves and open the window. Call the gas service.
When choosing a gas appliance, pay attention to the degree of its protection, the quality of the materials used to make it. Once a year, check the equipment and carry out preventive maintenance.
