Principle of operation and design

Structurally, AEG water heaters do not differ from their competitors. When the user opens the tap, the reducer acts on the valve, gas flows to the burner and ignites it. Heating starts. She moves along the serpentine. The output is a hot stream. When the water supply tap is closed, the valve assumes its original position, the flame goes out. Devices with an open combustion chamber are called atmospheric. They consist of:

Independent disassembly and cleaning of the equipment is strictly not recommended by the manufacturer and specialists in its repair and adjustment. Unless you can change the battery without the help of specialists, entrust the rest to the service center.

If the auto-ignition column does not light up?

  • Start by checking the performance of the batteries from which the device is ignited.
  • Open the gas valve.
  • Set the power control relay to maximum.
  • Open one of the hot water taps. Doesn’t turn on? Reopen the valve after 20 seconds. Check for flame.

How to adjust settings?

  • Power. The relay located on the control panel (marked with the “flame” icon) regulates the gas flow. To increase the fuel supply, you need to turn the knob counterclockwise, to decrease – vice versa.
  • Temperature. It is adjusted with a regulator marked accordingly – “thermometer”. To increase heat and decrease pressure, turn the regulator clockwise.

Important! The valve on the cold water riser must always be in the 100% open position. It is forbidden to adjust the fluid pressure by turning this valve.

If the device is not in use?

  • Shut off the gas.
  • Take the batteries out of the compartment.
  • Close the cold water shut-off valve.
  • Set the temperature control relay to the “minimum” position.
  • Open the gas valve.
  • Drain the liquid from the heat exchanger.

Maintenance

How to turn on a column with piezo ignition?

Turning on begins with turning the gas supply regulator – drowning it, and turning it clockwise to the “asterisk” mark. Having put the handle in this position, press the piezo ignition button with a hold of 7-8 seconds – until a steady flame appears.

When you turn it on for the first time or after a long idle time with the fuel supply turned off, they act differently: the relay is turned to the minimum position until it clicks – so that the entire pipe is filled with the gas mixture. You need to wait 20-25 seconds. Then put the regulator in the “asterisk” position and turn on the piezo ignition. After waiting 15 seconds – for the protective valve to work, set the desired mode by adjusting the gas supply.

The thing is not for a long time. Five years later, it leaked in two places at the same time. If the pressure is small, this model will not work – it does not light up. I had to change the pipes, only then they were able to wash normally. Cons – noisy, even expensive batteries have to be changed very often. Cheap ones sit in a couple of days. When you turn it on, there is a crackling sound and boiling water flows for a couple of minutes – you have to stand and wait for a normal one. Not designed for two points – low-power. On the plus side, it looks good and the controls are comfortable.

GWH 14 RN: Alina R., Samara

Connected after three years of inactivity in the package. But fired up with no problem. Works flawlessly. Heats well. There are 2 modes – maximum and economy. In an ordinary apartment, there is even a lot of it – quite enough for several consumers. If there is one bath and a kitchen, then even in economy mode its power is too much. Plus – automatic temperature control. If you open another tap, the water practically does not lose heat. Light ignition. Cons – the wick burns all the time. There is no heating indicator. Plus – not afraid of splashes, moisture, can be installed in the bathroom.
