In the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, more than 5 thousand plants. A whole staff of gardeners and scientists oversees all this “Pharmaceutical garden”. The curator of the collection of tropical plants, Vitaly Alenkin, knows everything about evergreen perennials that we prefer to plant in our apartments. To the Zvezda TV channel, he listed several representatives of the flora that can have a negative effect on the human body.
Among the unsafe, he named popular representatives of the aroid family:
monster,
alocasia,
anthurium,
spathiphyllum.
Among the euphorbia family, he singled out
poinsettia.
It is popularly called the “Christmas star”. “All parts of it contain a milky, white, poisonous juice. But if you know the nuances of plants, you can safely keep them at home, ”reassures junior researcher Vitaly.
You need to know that the fern does not contain harmful or poisonous substances. But in the period when it begins to secrete spores, people with upper respiratory tract problems should be careful. At this time, the plant must be sprayed more often so that spores do not fly around the room.
Parents should pay attention to young children and keep plants away from them that can be harmful to health. This is, for example, a beautiful subfamily of nightshade with red fruits. Do not forget about possible allergic reactions and ailments that can be triggered by representatives of bulbous and lily plants:

There are “useful” plants that disinfect the air, releasing phytoncides and a large amount of oxygen. These include:
