Gentle care: hair strengthening masks

Breakage and loss are a signal that curls need support and protection. And here masks for strengthening hair will come in handy – we at the Healthy-Food editors have compiled our own rating of sympathies.

Features of masks for strengthening hair

Long cold and hot summers, street smog and office air conditioners, hard water and central heating, frequent washing and hot styling … You can’t list everything that can negatively affect our hair, make it brittle and brittle. Therefore, it is logical to assume that there is no one universal remedy for combating all this “evil”. And even a strengthening hair mask at home will not solve the problem. A set of measures will help. Need to:

  • make sure there are no serious health problems;

  • eat a balanced diet (to strengthen curls, the International Society for Hair Restoration Surgery ISHRS recommends including meat, eggs, dark green vegetables, avocados, oily fish, nuts, seafood, blueberries, legumes and lentils, dairy products in the menu);

  • take vitamins (which ones, it is better to discuss with your doctor, most often with fragility and loss, vitamins A, groups B, C, D and E are recommended);

  • do not abuse the hair dryer and irons, do not make tight tails and braids, use hairpins and metal hairpins less often, and generally take care of your hair carefully and competently (we wrote about the most common mistakes in care here).

But back to hair masks. These cosmetics are classified as additional care. However, no matter what problem you face (brittleness, hair loss, excessive oiliness or dryness of hair), it is advisable to use them regularly – 1-2 times a week. The mask usually has a more concentrated composition and is able to act quickly and effectively. Here are just a few benefits of a hair mask:

  • it improves their structure – makes the strands smoother, stronger and more elastic;

  • prevents fragility and section;

  • enhances the natural protection of curls.

After using such a mask, the hair looks better, less tangled, becomes stronger, more elastic and softer.
