Genetically modified corn is actually good for human health – scientists

An unexpected statement from Italy struck the entire scientific world. Scientists at St. Anne’s School of Advanced Studies recently combined more than 6000 studies spanning nearly 21 years to statistically test a hypothesis about the properties of genetically altered corn. These studies not only refuted the negative impact of modified genes on the human body, but also showed the opposite effect. Such corn, to the evil of all conspiracy theorists and supporters of conspiracy theories, is good for health.

A detailed analysis of the benefits of a modified crop

Systematization and comparison of such a huge number of studies have shown that the negative impact of modified corn, if observed, is felt only by insects that harm the crop. But after all, most often it is for such properties that all kinds of agricultural crops are modified. For a person, only pluses are noticeable, because such corn gives increased crop volumes, which brings income to farmers and feeds the population. In addition, modifications interfere with the development of microtoxins, which are released from the vital activity of mold fungi. And this is already a rather dangerous phenomenon for a person, the effects of which are reduced by applying genetic engineering.

Experts again mentioned that among the inhabitants, who are little familiar with truly scientific methods and data, there is a very common opinion about the dangers of growing and consuming plants with genetic modification. But after receiving the results of a statistical study, its initiators were clearly convinced that GMOs are dangerous only for insect pests that destroy corn crops, and the cultivation of this type of cereal does not harm either nature or humans. The main advantages of modified corn can definitely be called the increased quality of the grains and the reduction of the level of toxins in the final product to a minimum.

It is worth noting that corn is recognized as a leader among nutrient sources with vitamin B1. A quarter of the daily requirement of this vitamin can be obtained by eating just 150 grams of grains of this crop. Corn is also worth paying attention to those who want to maintain a youthful appearance for the longest possible time, since it also contains a lot of vitamin E, the properties of which prevent aging.
