- Watering is carried out as needed. It is important to monitor the moisture level in the soil. Its excess can lead to decay of the roots.
- Choose light, non-acidic soil. You can dilute it with sand or ash.
- When the first 3 to 4 leaves appear, plant the seedlings at a distance of 5 centimeters from each other.
- In the spring, when the frost is over, you can plant the Heuchera in the ground.
It is better to choose a spring planting in the ground, but if you want to plant Heuchera in the fall, then plant it at home.
The transplant can be carried out in early autumn. A bush can grow in one place without transplanting for about 5 years, then a transplant is required. This is necessary so that the plant does not lose its decorative properties. For transplant:
- Dig up the plant.
- Remove roots that are too long, as well as diseased or dry parts of the bush.
- Divide the bush into several parts.
- Plant new shoots in the ground about 20 centimeters deeper than they grew before.
- Sit 20 to 25 centimeters apart.
- Mulch new seedlings and water.
The transplant is carried out by dividing the bush. It is important to do this carefully during the period when the night frosts have passed. Don’t damage the root system.
