Gastrotuss – treatment aimed at reflux
Occasional gastroesophageal reflux it happens to many of us, especially after eating a large meal. It occurs as the stomach contents enter the esophagus, causing inflammation and heartburn. Reflux counts as chronic if a person experiences symptoms at least twice a week. They are as follows:

As you swallow, a series of muscles around the bottom of your esophagus (especially the lower esophageal sphincter) relax, allowing food and liquids to enter your stomach. At this point, the esophageal sphincter closes again. However, if it is too flaccid or weak, stomach acid can flow back up the esophagus and irritate it, causing inflammation.
Operation of the Gastrotuss medical device
Operation of the Gastrotuss medical device is based on preventing the reflux of stomach acid with its contents towards the esophagus. It creates a barrier between one organ and the other, preventing the content from exceeding the level of the esophageal sphincter. Gastrotuss – dosage and form of occurrence
Gastrotuss occurs in three varieties: in the form of syrup, single-dose sachets and tablets. Dosage of syrup in adults and children over 12 years of age is 20 ml as standard after main meals and at bedtime. This is also the case dosing sachets – one after meals and before going to bed. Gastrotuss in the form of chewable tablets dosed take 1 to 2 tablets after main meals and at bedtime.
Apart from possible allergies to active and auxiliary substances in a medical device (it includes, among others, fructose, honey, xanthan gum or D-panthenol), there are no contraindications for the use of a medical device Gastrotuss. In the event of adverse reactions, discontinue use of the preparation and consult a physician. After a doctor’s consultation, Gastrotuss can be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women, preferably after consulting a doctor.
