Gastrotuss Baby is a syrup for children and infants used to treat and prevent reflux.

The composition of the preparation Gastrotuss Baby

The Gastrotuss Baby syrup consists of: magnesium alginate, fructose (sweetener), simethicone, xanthan gum, sodium carbonate, D-panthenol, sodium hydroxide, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, natural flavors and purified water.

The action of Gastrotuss Baby

The active substances in Gastrotuss Baby syrup work mechanically and slightly neutralize gastric juices, thus reducing symptoms related to gastric reflex in children and infants, such as heartburn, cough, esophagitis, speech disorders, nasopharyngitis and other problems caused by the reflux of the contents into the esophagus digestive tract from the stomach.

Gastrotuss Baby is given to children and infants to relieve the symptoms of reflux, i.e. the stomach contents return to the esophagus, which causes a number of troublesome ailments.

Contraindications to the use of Gastrotuss Baby

Gastrotuss Baby syrup should not be administered to children who are allergic to any of the ingredients of the preparation.

How to use Gastrotuss Baby?

Newborns up to 5 kg of body weight are administered 2,5 – 3 ml of Gastrotuss Baby syrup approximately 10 minutes after feeding. If the stomach contents retract after administration of the syrup, additional 1 ml of the drug may be administered.

Children up to 3 years of age are given 5 ml of Gastrotuss Baby syrup after a meal and at bedtime.

Children up to 12 years of age are given 10-12 ml of Gastrotuss Baby syrup after a meal and at bedtime.

In some cases, your doctor may prescribe a different dosage.

Before serving, the Gastrotuss Baby syrup should be shaken vigorously.

Side effects of Gastrotuss Baby

There are no data on the side effects of using Gastrotuss Baby syrup.

Precautions when using Gastrotuss Baby and additional information

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of Gastrotuss Baby. If, despite its use, symptoms related to reflux do not improve, consultation with a pediatrician is recommended.

Gastrotuss Baby may slightly change its color and consistency (be more or less viscous), which does not affect its quality.

Gastrotuss Baby syrup should not be used after the expiry date stated on the package. The preparation should be stored at room temperature, out of the reach of children.

If the child is taking other medications, the Gastrotuss Baby syrup should be administered last.
