Christmas is already on its way, and the Spanish municipalities are decked out to celebrate it and offer their markets, fairs and different food activities on the occasion of the festivities.
The Diputación de Sevilla has been developing an excellent sample of traditional food and art production, which occupies a special relevance in the commerce of these Christmas days.
This time the seventh edition of the Gastronomy and Crafts Fair of the Province of Seville, which is sponsored by Prodetur, the instrumental society of the council itself, which is responsible for the promotion and local economic development within the province of Seville.
As proof of its objectives and support, tourism and the Sevillian business fabric, represented by artisanal SMEs, will meet at the facilities of the old “La Carne” Cavalry Barracks.
Nothing but plastic to house one gastronomic exhibition, inside the courtyard of the entity, which has hosted during this weekend the first act of the exhibitions of crafts and gastronomy and it will reopen its doors from Wednesday, December 16 to Saturday, December 19.
A very sweet and cultural sample that accompanies Christmas
The appointment is visited by a large part of the local population and of course by the visitors of the Seville city, where you can see, and buy the typical products that are consumed in these festivals, giving diffusion to the artisan work of all the entrepreneurs of the province.
Around 120 participants, will meet throughout the main courtyard of the Diputación de Sevilla, and will be grouped into different categories of the agri-food sector such as oils, pickles, Iberian, preserves, liqueurs, dairy or artisan sweets, and from the prism of the crafts, textiles, decoration, accessoriess, etc…
Apart from the traditional tastings and tests of the delicacies on display, the sample will be enlivened during all the days with the Christmas spirit of the choirs of the different associations and entities of the participating municipalities, singing the traditional Christmas carols and campanilleros.
The entrance to the enclosure is free and a massive influx is predicted, as long as the proximity of Christmas Eve will increase the number of visitors with the arrival of numerous relatives who gather in the Sevillian towns for the celebration of the Christmas.
The festivities are already close and the Spanish towns and cities, as is tradition, begin to take their markets out to the “street” to promote commercial activity during these days, as we anticipated the previous week in the case of the Alicante town of Jijona.
The data provided by the Provincial Council also show a hotel and rural house occupancy above 85% and 95% respectively.
