Two intense weeks of celebrations relating different activities with gastronomy.
Gastrofestival is an initiative of Madrid Destino and Madrid Fusion, and this year celebrates its sixth edition.
Its double goal continues to be the revitalization of commercial activity in the local hotel and restaurant industry and the promotion of gastronomic culture in the city of Madrid.
We have already prepared the 4 disciplines, painting, fashion, cinema and literature, which together with gastronomy will open up a very real creative space of leisure and fun options.
Themed with the Gastro tagline, they are presented:

- Gastrosalud
- Gastroculture
- Gastronomic Madrid
- Sensory experiences
- Enoculture
- Design and Gastronomy.
Each one will have its nerve center of operations in different spaces to optimize the important number of activities in capacity according to it.
Culture is transferred to Conde Duque with the program of “Days of Music and Flavors”And in it the literary activities will also be developed.
Inescapable appointments presented by its cultural program
- On February 3, “The gastronomic walk through the flavors of the works of the writer Gabriel García Marquez” is presented.
- On February 5 and 6, the gastro-themed songs will be performed: “La caracolera y el amolador” and “El confectioner”.
- On February 12 and 13, the concerts “Jazz, cheese & sherry” are held, where musical pleasure is tasted with wine and cheese.

With the celebration of the edible hat workshop the Designers Association of Madrid (DIMAD) aims to dress us with taste and above all flavor, a lot of flavor.
The sensory experiences will once again be one of the most striking in this edition for the participants of the activities, due to the interaction of the visitors, not only in the attention of their presentations, but of course in their opinion before the tasting of the products under discussion.
This time it will be “True coffee experience”Which on February 13, 14 and 15 will offer coffee tastings from the grain-producing countries, led by the best national experts and will experience first-degree news from the coffee sector.

Tasting this year brings together more than 120 establishments scattered throughout various districts of the city, from Center to Chanmartín, via Austrias, Retiro, Chamberí, Malasaña, Salamanca ... They will offer their creations in the form of a tapa or a bite in the company of a bottle of Beer for the fixed price of € 3.
In the same area but with a sweeter finish, it will take place in different establishments and cafes in the city attached to it, the so-called Gourmet Route.

The most relevant food supply markets in the city join the event to make available to customers a huge commercial offer of products, accompanied by various creative and highly gastronomic activities.

In this sense, the Dinners of the Stars, where prestigious international Chefs will accompany local chefs in the elaboration of the menus created and cooked exclusively for those holidays.
