A drug for flatulence – preparations and their dosage
Seeking medical advice is sometimes advisable, even in less serious situations. A specialist will select the right drug for flatulence that will effectively solve the problem. If the ailment is related to another condition, such as irritable bowel syndrome, prokinetic preparations are recommended. These are drugs that accelerate gastric emptying of the residual contents and restore the proper functioning of the digestive tract. The most frequently chosen substance, however, is simethicone, which effectively breaks down air bubbles accumulated in the intestines. As a result, it removes excess gases and reduces possible tension that may cause pain. Bloating can also be associated with an overgrowth of the bacterial flora, so in this case antibiotic therapy becomes necessary. Such drugs primarily contain rifaximin and neomycin.
Over-the-counter bloating drug
Popular preparations are available in every pharmacy and will help you quickly eliminate a small ailment. They can be obtained without a prescription, and their effectiveness is ensured by simethicone. Although many people also recommend healing charcoal, when flatulence is sometimes accompanied by general indigestion. It should be noted that over-the-counter flatulence medications must also be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s or pharmacist’s instructions. The options also include teas and herbal infusions that should be consumed after a heavy or heavy meal. They include, inter alia:
- caraway seed,
- fennel,

- anise,
- cardamom,
- angelica.

It is natural due to the systematic formation of the baby’s digestive system. An effective remedy for flatulence must therefore be adapted to the age and degree of ailment. Sometimes it contains: simethicone or specific probiotic bacteria, and other times herbal ingredients. Such teas are recommended in the case of colic accompanied by flatulence. Infusions include, for example: fennel, chamomile, barley sprouts and roasted rice. The toddler will also be helped by regular massaging of the tummy, as well as warm compresses. Belching may be a positive symptom in the baby.
