After delivering the device home, be sure to check the integrity of the cast-iron heat exchanger. Even the presence of microcracks is the most dangerous situation for equipment. If they appear, the equipment will soon fail, and the heat exchanger will need to be replaced.

Secrets of High Performance

Modifications with thermohydraulics are non-volatile. The principle of operation is based on the use of a thermostat. When the temperature reaches the declared value, the gas supply to the burner stops. This maintains the required heating of the coolant.

The devices are ideally adapted for harsh winters: they can stably keep the required heat, the main thing is to correctly calculate the power. Efficiency is increased by:

  • modulating burner;
  • obtaining the optimal composition of the gas-air mixture;
  • leaving the bulk of the heat to heat the coolant.

Safety system

  • The smoke sensor, reacting to the lack of draft, stops the gas supply. Will not allow the burner to go out if there is a reverse draft due to strong gusts of wind.
  • Fire control. If it is not there, the gas will not flow.
  • Temperature control. When a certain value is reached, the heating of the coolant stops.

How they work

The fire chamber is made of steel sheets of 3 mm. There is a water jacket, a gas burner unit and smoke tubes with turbulators that increase the efficiency of the device. The gas burner unit works automatically – the power is modulated. Basalt cardboard was used for thermal insulation. There is a thermometer – visually control the temperature of the water.

If the model is 2-circuit, then the chimneys are equipped with a DHW coil. The input-output of the latter is located on the rear panel of the case. The diameter of the nozzles is 2 inches / 5 cm. For hot water supply – 0,5 inches or 1,5 cm. Devices with a power of 8-12 kW have a chimney with a diameter of 11,5 cm. 16 kW – 15 cm. There are modifications with and without circulation pumps .

Important! The system coolant is plain water, antifreeze is prohibited.

How to keep the warranty

In order not to be denied warranty obligations, you should not take on installation and adjustment work. Connection, configuration, first start-up are carried out by the specialists of the service center. They also make a record of the work done in the passport of the device. Preventive maintenance should be carried out annually – it is also noted in the data sheet. If there are no such records, the warranty will be void.

The nuances of editing

  • Burner dirty. Before turning on the device, clean the nozzles with a brush or vacuum cleaner.
  • Not enough oxygen to start the burner. It is necessary to clean the nozzles supplying air and ventilate the room.
  • The thermostat contacts are oxidized. Need to clean up.
  • The sensors are broken.

With a strong cooling of the coolant, you need to switch the thermostat to the maximum or increase the flow of gas to the burner, if the instruction allows such an action.

Summer use features

In the summer it is necessary to turn off the heating circuit. To do this, close the valve at the coolant inlet. With one pilot burner, the water will heat up to 60 °C in 60 minutes. If the water is not consumed, it will retain heat for about two hours – it can be used for domestic needs. When the device heats up, and active consumption of water is not expected, it is turned off so that the water does not boil.

Inexpensive model, works only for heating. I prefer a separate boiler to fuss with two circuits – I don’t believe in the stability of hot water when it comes to domestic boilers. There is no money for imports, and even there there are enough problems with automation. Corresponds to its value. Heats the house 120 squares. Economical – gas is consumed sparingly. Of the minuses – it is not convenient to kindle the wick. A flexible hose is also inconveniently connected, it would be better if it was placed on the left.

KSts-G-12N: Viktor E., Tver

Simple single-loop without any programming. Good price and minimum hassle. It is non-volatile, but when the light goes out, it turns off, as our heating circulation pump turns off. Shutdown due to overheating. But this happens very rarely. Another problem is ignition. When you kindle, you need to keep the button pressed for a long time – your finger gets tired. It’s been running for two seasons now. It was difficult only at 30 degree frosts.

CONORD equipment is only for outdoor installation, so it is more often bought by owners of private houses and cottages. All models are affordable, simple in design and do not depend on electricity. They are easy to use. The brand has long gone beyond the domestic market, and offers gas appliances to consumers in the near abroad – they compete with imported counterparts.
