For the preparation of crackers, you can use any kind of bread – white, black, grain. You can dry fresh loaves or use slightly stale bread. You should not take rolls and loaves touched by mold: crackers will acquire an unpleasant aftertaste, and besides, such bread can damage your health.
Light garlic croutons for soup
Small croutons from white, bran or rye bread can be served with soup or broth. A light garlic aroma will add spice to them, and the absence of oil and other high-calorie additives will make the dish lighter. Dry the croutons in the oven or microwave.
You will need: – 1 loaf of white bread; – 3 cloves of garlic; – salt; – freshly ground black pepper.
Cut a loaf of white bread into neat slices. Peel and chop the garlic. Rub each slice with garlic on both sides. Cut the pieces of garlic bread into small cubes. Do not make them too small: the breadcrumbs will decrease in volume when roasting.
Pour the bread cubes onto a baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 200 ° C. Bake the crackers for 10-15 minutes, they should be golden brown. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper, stir and transfer to a bowl. Serve warm or chilled with any vegetable or meat soup.

If you prefer to microwave your crackers, scatter the bread cubes in one layer on a flat plate and turn the microwave on at full power for 3 minutes. Then open the door, turn the crackers over and bake them for another 3 minutes. Sprinkle the spices over the finished products and serve.
