Plant this garlic in a different location each year to maximize your yield. The best predecessors for him are potatoes, carrots, zucchini and cucumbers. Choose the largest teeth for planting.

Plant the garlic in late fall 35-40 days before the first hard frost. If you plant it earlier, the cloves will sprout and freeze, if later, they will not have time to take root and will rot over the winter. You can plant garlic in spring. In this case, you will have a one-toothed head that is suitable for autumn planting. A good harvest will grow from such a head in the future.

Keep planting material dry to prevent it from rotting

Plant the garlic in rows. The distance between the teeth is 16-18 cm, between the rows – 45 cm. Bury the teeth in the ground to a depth of 10-13 cm. You do not need to fertilize the ground with anything before planting. It should be dry enough to prevent the garlic from rotting. As soon as the first frosts hit, mulch the soil at the planting site.

From early spring until the time of harvest, garlic must be constantly looked after. Water, loosen, and fertilize your plants regularly. The best feeding option is biofertilizer. It allows you to increase the yield by 50%. Apply this top dressing 2-3 times per season. When the tips of the leaves begin to turn yellow, it can harvest.

The photo of Bogatyr garlic shows that it is larger than usual. This variety is fully consistent with its name. One clove of this garlic will replace 3-4 cloves of other varieties.
