Growing large strawberries
Immediately after the first frosts hit, crush the beds with ash.
Before flowering, treat strawberries with a solution of boric acid at the rate of 1 tsp. means for 2 liters of water. This will help more peduncles to form. After flowering, treat the bushes with a weak honey solution to attract pollinating insects.
With the right care, the varieties described will yield stunning yields. Try growing them to stock up on these sweet berries.
To get a good harvest, you need to regularly loosen the soil around the bushes and remove weeds. Do this 2 hours after each watering. Also, take a lot of attention to feeding and processing plants.
Apply organic fertilizers at least once a week. For example, mullein or bird droppings will do. From September, regularly feed the beds with phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. This will help the strawberries to endure the cold without loss.
