Games for boys from childhood: shooting games, gun wars, impact

Shooting games for boys grab the attention of children from an early age. At first glance, they seem harmless, because this is simple entertainment at the computer. In fact, such games are dangerous for an immature psyche.

The impact of violent computer games on a child

A. Breivik, A. Koptsev, A. Anufriev are serial killers and mass murderers. All of them were addicted to violent computer games. To check the data, Belarusian scientists conducted an experiment. They interviewed 150 teenagers. 14% of them played out to such a state that they could see hallucinations in the room. These were mostly the heroes of the games. Interestingly, this hallucinogenic effect persists for XNUMX hours after the person has completed the game.

Shooting games for boys seriously affect the child’s psyche

J. Holmes staged a shooting in an American cinema, as a result of which 70 people were injured. Later, during interrogation, he explained that he felt like in a computer game.

Another illustrative example is A. Lanza. He started shooting at the school and killed 26 people. Prior to that, he constantly played shooting games. After checking, it was found out that he killed most of his computer victims with an accurate shot in the head. He killed the real people in the school in the same way.

Dangerous Symptoms of Gun Play Addiction

Addiction to computer games appears at an early age. Usually, the first symptoms can be observed in children at the age of 5-6 years. At first they become aggressive and irritable. Kids lose interest in ordinary games, they want to spend all their time at a computer or phone. If parents forbid it, children will experience impulsive outbursts of anger.

Then comes a period of apathy. In the classroom, the kids are inattentive, their speech is slow. They are no longer interested in children’s things, they become real couch potatoes.

Parental control from an early age

It is quite convenient – to sit the child at the computer, and go about his own business. But this way you will cause irreparable harm to his psyche. Most games are permanently addictive after the second session. The fact is that psychologists are working on their creation. They make games so that they come back to them again and again. It even works for adults, let alone toddlers.

Constantly monitor what kind of games your child is playing. Do not play violent or intimidating.

The computer is an educational assistant, not a device for war games

From an early age, children are taught why certain things are needed. For example, a refrigerator is needed to store food, and a washing machine is needed to wash things. At this stage, you need to teach the kid that a computer is needed for learning and development.

Computer wars make children aggressive and apathetic.

Even for young children, there are various useful educational programs that can be installed. However, training like this shouldn’t take long. A child under 5 years old can spend up to 20 minutes a day in front of a computer, tablet or phone screen. On weekends, this time can be extended to 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening. Limit this strictly.

How to save a child from a child’s computer addiction

If you didn’t manage to immediately establish the rules, and the addiction still began, it will be difficult to overcome it, but it is possible. Here are some helpful tips:

  • Start with yourself. If you yourself play on the computer from morning to night, the child will not perceive your inhibitions.
  • Do not throw in meaningless phrases like “I would be better off doing something useful!” Offer your child specific things to do instead of playing games.
  • Establish a strict rule of thumb about how much time your child can spend at the computer. Do not get fooled by tantrums and blackmail on his part.
  • Spend more time together. Walk in the park, cook interesting meals, go to theaters, movies, cafes, etc. Also involve your child in household chores.
  • Spend time allotted to the computer together. Instead of aggressive games, invite your child to play online quizzes, draw or edit video in the editor.

If you see that the child and the computer are inseparable, enroll him in computer courses. Let him spend the time with his favorite gadget with benefit.

Computer addiction, like any disease, is easier to prevent than to cure. From an early age, control how your child spends time at the computer and what he plays.
