Indications
Treatment of uncomplicated lower urinary tract infections caused by microorganisms Escherichia coli.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation or other nitrofuran derivatives, peripheral polyneuropathy, severe renal failure, infection of the renal parenchyma, deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.
The preparation should not be used in newborns, infants and children under 2 years of age.
Dosage
Adults:
on the first day: 100 mg (2 tablets of 50 mg) 4 times a day;
next days: 100 mg (2 tablets of 50 mg) 3 times a day;
treatment usually lasts 7-10 days and can be repeated after 10-15 days.
If a woman has had at least 12 episodes of urinary tract infection within the last 3 months, use 100 mg per night for 6-12 months
Children and adolescents 2.–14. age:
5-7 mg / kg body weight daily in 2 divided doses.
When administering the preparation to young children, caution should be exercised due to the risk of choking. To facilitate swallowing, the preparation can be crushed and mixed with milk.
Children under 2 years of age:
Only a doctor can prescribe the use and individually determine the dose of the drug.
Method of drug administration:
Use orally. The tablets should be washed down with plenty of liquid. The preparation should be taken with meals; during the treatment period, you should follow a diet rich in protein.
