Those who react strongly to manifestations of homosexuality actually experience (unconscious) attraction to members of the same sex.
This was proved by tests conducted by psychologists at the University of Essex (UK)*. Confident in their heterosexuality, they experience disgust, hostility and anger towards those who openly admit their non-traditional orientation. “Most homophobes are at war with themselves,” says study leader, clinical psychologist Netta Weinstein, “and project this internal conflict onto others, trying to find the culprit in the outside world.”
