Let the dough rise again, then remove from the bowl, divide into lumps, roll each into a flat cake on a floured board. Place the filling in the center of the cakes, seal the cakes well and place them on a floured board. Fry the products in heated vegetable oil until golden brown and serve hot.
Light yeast-free dough
If you don’t have time to wait for the yeast dough to proof, try another option. The yeast-free dough is suitable for baking sweet pies with thick jam, fresh berries or fruits. You can also make minced meat from vegetables – cabbage, carrots, potatoes. And also stuff the pies with green onions and eggs.
You will need: – 2 eggs; – 4 tablespoons of sugar; – 4 tablespoons of thick sour cream; – 0,25 teaspoon of salt; – 0,5 teaspoon of baking soda; – 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil; – 2 cups sifted wheat flour.
Mash eggs with sugar, add butter, sour cream, soda and salt. Mix everything well and add flour in portions. Knead the dough quickly. Don’t wrinkle it too hard, otherwise the patties will turn out too tough.
With oil-oiled hands, separate the pieces from the dough and roll them into small balls. Roll them into flat cakes, fill them with pre-prepared filling – for example, berries mixed with sugar. Prepared pies should be fried immediately in hot fat and served.
