Fried dumplings: recipe. Video
Traditionally, dumplings are cooked. So, even the name in the menu “soup with dumplings” does not surprise anyone. However, the scope of such a product does not end there. An equally tasty, satisfying and quick-to-prepare dish is fried dumplings. Despite the seeming simplicity of performing this operation, in fact, frying dumplings is not so easy. And in order not to spoil the dish, several nuances must be taken into account.
The dish “fried dumplings” is very tasty and satisfying. But very often the housewives do not succeed in it: the dumplings either burn or remain raw. Little cooking secrets will help to bring them to the correct consistency.
Instructions for frying dumplings
To prepare such a dish, you will need:
– a pack of dumplings;
– vegetable oil;
– milk – 1/2 cup;
– salt, pepper to taste;
– sour cream.
Experts assure that the most delicious fried dumplings are those containing chicken meat. It gives the dish a special tenderness and original taste.
First, heat the vegetable oil in a skillet. Then add the dumplings to the skillet. You can do this both individually and immediately in bulk. Just remember that if you spread one at a time, start doing it before the oil has warmed up. Otherwise, the first ones will have time to burn before you finish.
Turn on medium heat and wait until golden brown appears. Remember to stir and turn the dumplings regularly. Towards the end of frying, pour the milk into the pan and cover with a lid. Thanks to this measure, the dumplings will become softer and more tender. After 5 minutes, turn off the heat, the dumplings are ready. Best served with sour cream.
If you fry a little dumplings, 15–20 pieces, the dose of milk can be reduced. After all, otherwise you simply cook them, but in a frying pan. Alternatively, you can use water instead of milk.
But besides the traditional method, you can fry dumplings in a more original way. For example, you can cook such a dish with the addition of cheese and fresh herbs, as well as eggs and soy sauce. In the first case, you need to put dumplings on a preheated frying pan, then fry them until golden brown. After that, it will be enough to sprinkle them with grated cheese and finely chopped herbs. Cover everything with a lid and simmer for another 7 minutes.
The second option assumes that you fry the dumplings until golden brown, then transfer them to a baking dish greased with vegetable oil. Whisk 2 eggs with 2 tablespoons. mayonnaise and salt, add here 100 g of canned (you can and fresh) peas and herbs. Pour the resulting mass of dumplings and send to the preheated oven. Cook until golden brown. Drizzle with soy sauce before serving.
What can be added to dumplings to give them an original taste
To give the dumplings an original and fresh taste, you can add bay leaves, garlic, various herbs and spices when frying. Almost all of them go well with such a dish, since it is meat, and all these spices go well with meat.
Often not only vegetable oil, but also butter is used for frying. They are taken in proportions of 1: 1. So, dumplings acquire a deeper aroma, which is replete with flavors.
You can serve dumplings with the sauce you like most: from ketchup and mayonnaise to soy and various ready-made options.
