If you want to pamper your family and guests with something unusual and savory, fried cucumbers are what you need. This is an original dish for an amateur, but it can become an independent appetizing appetizer, and a wonderful ingredient for sandwiches and salads. Plus, frying overgrown vegetables is a great way to recycle crops.
Fried cucumber snack recipe
You can quickly make a self-sufficient Korean cucumber snack with soy sauce. Take the required ingredients for the recipe:
– large cucumber (1 pc.); – garlic (1-2 cloves); – dill (1 bunch); – table salt to taste; – soy sauce (2 tablespoons); – vegetable oil for frying.
Rinse and dry the fresh cucumber, then cut it into circles approximately 0,5 cm thick each. Sprinkle vegetable slices with table salt and hold in an enamel or glass container for 10 minutes. After this time, allow excess liquid to drain. Fry cucumbers on both sides in refined sunflower or olive oil until golden brown.
Before frying, cucumber slices can be rolled in breadcrumbs or sifted wheat flour
Place the sautéed vegetables in a bowl, toss with the crushed garlic and chopped dill. Pour soy sauce over the cucumbers, seal and marinate in the refrigerator compartment for 30 minutes. Do not freeze the dish!
How to fry pickled cucumbers
You can fry not only fresh, but also pickled vegetables – it will be an unexpected, savory snack that will enrich the diet of any gourmet. Prepare all the ingredients for this recipe:
– small pickled cucumbers (7-8 pcs.); – wheat flour (4 tablespoons); – parsley and dill (1 bunch); – butter for frying.
Peel the vegetables thinly, remove the seeds. Cut each cucumber in half lengthwise and roll in the sifted flour. Fry vegetables in butter on both sides until lightly browned. Place the cucumbers on a platter and garnish with chopped herbs. It is a good addition to mashed potatoes and other boiled, stewed and baked vegetables.
Fried cucumbers can be served with sour cream and garlic sauce. For the gravy, combine crushed garlic, ground black pepper, and salt to taste. Refrigerate before use
A sandwich with fried cucumbers as a component can be both a pleasant snack on a holiday and a full-fledged hearty breakfast. For example, it can be prepared from the following ingredients:
– toast (1 pc.); – chicken egg (1 pc.); – tomato (1 pc.); – cucumber (1/2 vegetable); – lettuce (1-2 pcs.); – butter (1 tablespoon); – vegetable oil for frying; – table salt to taste.
Cut the washed vegetables and a hard-boiled egg into slices, then fry all the ingredients in heated refined lean oil on both sides. Make hot toast (or toast a toast made from wheat bread), brush with softened butter. Add salad, vegetable slices and cover with fried egg.
