Friday selection of New Year’s cocktails with tangerines

A week, just a week. The mood is pre-holiday, complete carelessness and overflowing with hopes for the best. Yes, the New Year is good, and all good things should be on the level. Still, I carved out some of my free time and decided to please you with another selection, this time a festive one, one might even say – NEW YEAR’S!

And what can remind you of the New Year from cooking? Of course, tangerines, of course, you can still recreate the smell of a Christmas tree in a glass, but you don’t need to fantasize much for this: a bottle of gin and the spirit of the holiday is already on the table. You can even check out our selection of gin cocktails. But with tangerines, you can fantasize more thoroughly. Well, actually, let’s fantasize.

The New Year’s selection should be truly idle, so today, contrary to tradition, I will lay out 2020 cocktails in honor of the upcoming 13, which will be a worthy decoration of the festive table.

Tuttosi (aperitif, strain)

By the way, this cocktail took the world championship in 1969 at the next congress of bartenders in St. Vincent (Italy). The authorship of the cocktail belongs to Elio Cataneo from Italy.

Innings:

  • cocktail glass;

Ingredients:

  • 20 ml scotch whiskey;
  • 5 ml of tangerine liqueur;
  • 15 ml Galliano (vanilla liqueur);
  • 20 red vermouth (you can Martini Rosso).

Preparation:

  • pour liquor, vermouth, Galliano and whiskey into a mixing glass (glass part of a shaker);
  • fill the glass with ice and stir its contents with a cocktail spoon;
  • pour the cocktail through a strainer into a cocktail glass, which must first be cooled;
  • garnish with orange zest.

Karin (aperitif, shake)

This cocktail took the lead in 1958. This time the event was held in Brussels (Belgium), and the cocktail was invented by Georges de Kuypers (Belgium).

Innings:

  • cocktail glass;

Ingredients:

  • Xnumx gin ml;
  • 20 ml of tangerine liqueur;
  • 30 red vermouth (you can Martini Rosso);
  • 15 g lemon;
  • 1 g mint.

Preparation:

  • pour all the ingredients into a shaker;
  • fill it with ice and shake well;
  • pour the cocktail through a strainer into a cocktail glass, which must first be cooled;
  • squeeze lemon peel oil into a cocktail, garnish with a cherry and mint.

Spirit ’57 (aperitif, shake)

Innings:

  • cocktail glass;

Ingredients:

  • 35 ml of vodka;
  • 15 ml of tangerine liqueur;
  • 2 ml peach bitter;
  • 35 ml orange juice;
  • 20 g lime;
  • 5 g orange.

Preparation:

  • pour juice, liquor and vodka into a shaker;
  • squeeze a quarter of a lime and drip 2 drops of bitter;
  • Fill shaker with ice and shake well.
  • pour the cocktail through a strainer into a cocktail glass, which must first be cooled;
  • garnish with a slice of pitaya (dragon fruit) and carambola, orange zest and pineapple leaves on a skewer.

Irony of Fate (aperitif, blend-strain)

Innings:

  • flute (champagne);

Ingredients:

  • 20 ml vanilla vodka;
  • 80 ml of dry champagne;
  • 15 ml honey syrup;
  • 90 g mandarin.

Preparation:

  • beat one peeled tangerine in a blender;
  • put the resulting puree into a mixing glass;
  • pour syrup, vodka and champagne;
  • gently mix everything with a cocktail spoon, after filling the glass with ice;
  • through a strainer and a strainer, pour a cocktail in a flute, which must first be cooled;
  • garnish with a mandarin slice on a skewer.

Favorite (aperitif, madle shake)

Innings:

  • rocks (old fashion);

Ingredients:

  • Xnumx gin ml;
  • 30 ml of tangerine juice (you can fresh);
  • 20 ml honey syrup;
  • 20 g of red currant (if you can find, as an option, fresh-frozen);
  • 1,5 leaves of aloe.

Preparation:

  • fill rocks with ice;
  • in a shaker, cut half a rather large aloe leaf and 1 tablespoon of currants;
  • thoroughly suppress with muddler;
  • pour juice, syrup and gin;
  • fill the shaker with ice and shake;
  • through a strainer and a strainer, pour the cocktail into the rocks;
  • decorate with aloe leaves and currant berries.

Dr. House (aperitif, shake)

Innings:

  • orange;

Ingredients:

  • 40 ml bourbon;
  • 10 ml caramel syrup;
  • 10 ml sugar syrup;
  • 20 g lime;
  • 250 g of orange;
  • 40 g mandarin;
  • Xnumx ginger;
  • 1 g ground cinnamon;
  • 2 pieces of cinnamon sticks.

Preparation:

  • cut off the top of the orange and carefully remove the pulp from it;
  • cut half a tangerine and a slice of orange into a shaker;
  • thoroughly suppress with muddler;
  • pour in syrups and bourbon;
  • squeeze the juice from a quarter of a lime and 3 drops from a ginger root;
  • add ground cinnamon;
  • fill the shaker with ice and shake;
  • through a strainer and a strainer, pour the cocktail into an orange;
  • garnish with cinnamon sticks.

Mandarin margarita (aperitif, shake blend)

Innings:

  • wine glass;

Ingredients:

  • 40 ml of golden tequila;
  • 15 ml honey syrup;
  • 35 g lime;
  • 40 g mandarin.

Preparation:

  • fill the glass with crush (crushed ice);
  • in a blender, make a puree of peeled tangerines;
  • put the finished puree into the shaker, add tequila and syrup;
  • squeeze the juice of a quarter of a lime;
  • fill the shaker with ice and shake;
  • pour the cocktail through a strainer into wine and add crush;
  • garnish with a lime wedge.

River (aperitif, madl)

Innings:

  • rocks (old fashion);

Ingredients:

  • 50 ml of vodka;
  • 20 ml sugar syrup;
  • 40 g lemon;
  • 45 g mandarin.

Preparation:

  • put 4 slices of tangerine in rocks and crush them with muddler;
  • pour crash to the top;
  • pour vodka and syrup into a glass;
  • squeeze a quarter of a lemon;
  • stir gently with a cocktail spoon and garnish with tangerine slices.

Pret-a-porte (aperitif, bild)

Innings:

  • rocks (old fashion);

Ingredients:

  • 20 ml brandy;
  • 20 ml Grand Marnier;
  • 2 ml orange bitter;
  • 14 g mandarin;
  • 30 g green apple;
  • 1 g of honey.

Preparation:

  • fill rocks to the top with ice;
  • pour into a glass of Grande Marnier and cognac;
  • add 2 drops of bitter and 1 drop of honey;
  • stir gently with a cocktail spoon;
  •  garnish with tangerine slices, an apple fan.

Well, for ulcers and teetotalers, I have prepared New Year’s non-alcoholic cocktails, however, it is also suitable for kids, although they are not my readers (I hope, at least).

Orange mood (b / a, bild)

Innings:

  • хайбол;

Ingredients:

  • 15 ml of still water;
  • 375 g mandarin;
  • 20 g of orange;
  • 95 g carrots;
  • 6 g of barberry lollipops.

Preparation:

  • Fill a highball to the top with ice.
  • make fresh tangerines and pour it into a glass;
  • make a fresh carrot and pour it there;
  • in a pitcher (iron mug), dissolve barberries with water on fire, resulting in a delicious syrup;
  • pour the resulting syrup into a highball glass, the contents of which are gently mixed with a cocktail spoon;
  • garnish with an orange slice and a carrot slice.

Tangerine compote in a jug (b/a)

Innings:

  • jug and highballs;

Ingredients:

  • 2,25 liter of water without gas;
  • 360 g green apple;
  • 270 g mandarin;
  • 60 g sea buckthorn;
  • 200 d Sahara.

Preparation:

  • peel the tangerines, and cut off the white pulp from the zest;
  • put the zest cut into strips in a saucepan, filling everything with water (250 ml);
  • bring to a boil and pour water through a sieve;
  • put sugar in a saucepan and pour 2 liters of water;
  • bring to a boil, stirring constantly;
  • add zest, tangerine slices, 4 tablespoons of sea buckthorn, one and a half apples;
  • boil on low heat for 10 minutes until the apples soften;
  • cool;
  • fill the jug 2/3 with ice and pour the finished compote into it;
  • decorate the jug with an apple slice and tangerine zest;
  • One pitcher is enough for 4 highballs.

Mandarin tea with currant (b/a, hot drink)

Innings:

  • teapot and cups;

Ingredients:

  • 15 ml blackcurrant syrup;
  • 150 ml vaults without gas;
  • 20 g lime;
  • 320 g mandarin;
  • 75 g grapefruit;
  • 1 pieces of cinnamon sticks.

Preparation:

  • make fresh from 3 tangerines;
  • put a quarter of lime, tangerine and grapefruit in the pitcher;
  • pour syrup, juice and water;
  • heat while stirring, but do not bring to a boil;
  • pour all the good into the teapot;
  • so that the cocktail does not cool down, the kettle can be placed on a candle.

Tangerine lemonade (b/a)

Innings:

  • wine glass;

Ingredients:

  • 20 ml of tangerine syrup;
  • 140 ml soda;
  • 120 g mandarin;
  • 35 g lime;
  • 1 g mint.

Preparation:

  • put chopped tangerine in circles in a glass;
  • suppress everything with muddler;
  • fill the glass to the top with crush;
  • pour syrup and soda to the top;
  • mix gently with a cocktail spoon and add crush;
  • garnish with mint leaves and mandarin slices.
