1. Voltage
How does it happen
Toward evening, a dull monotonous pain appears all over the head. This condition can last for several hours.
Why
The most common cause is stress. You sit at the computer, desk, in the car all day, or, for example, stand at the counter in one position, are constantly nervous, and at home you sleep on an uncomfortable bed and pillow. The result is a spasm of the vessels of the brain and neck.
What to do
Change your posture more often at work, do a 5-minute charge every 2 hours. Massage the back of the head, temples, rub the muscles of the neck and back. Lubricate the whiskey with an anti-migraine ointment, such as the Golden Star balm. Do a short auto-training session. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, relax your muscles, breathe calmly and evenly. Imagine that you are on a sunny day by the sea. Each rolling wave takes your pain, tension and takes you into the sea.
2. The vagaries of the weather
How does it happen
A dull aching pain appears in the middle of the day or after physical exertion, for example, when climbing stairs, accompanied by the appearance of black “flies” in front of the eyes, weakness, dizziness, blood rushes to the head.
Why
Spring weather with an unstable geomagnetic background, fluctuations in atmospheric pressure and temperature, and a sharp change in wind direction provokes vascular spasms. With low pressure, pain appears in the temples, with high pressure – in the back of the head.
What to do
Measure the pressure. If it is low, take a tincture of Eleutherococcus, Schisandra, ginseng and lie with your legs raised; if it is high, tincture of peony, valerian, motherwort will save you, lie with your head up.
Council
Master acupuncture massage:
For 1 minute, press with the pad of your thumb on the active points on the head: the first is located on the forehead, just above the hairline, the second is between the eyebrows above the bridge of the nose. Massage the points on your hands clockwise – between your thumb and forefinger
.
3. Migraine
How does it happen
Pulsating or pressing pain in one half of the head, “shoots” in the eye, painful to look at the light. The face turns red or turns pale, nausea is possible, less often vomiting.
Why
Migraine is a hereditary disease transmitted through the maternal line, associated with irritation of the trigeminal nerve. Most often it occurs as a result of overwork, excitement, changes in weather, before or after critical days.
What to do
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position in a dim room. If your face is pale, put a hot water soaked and wrung out terry towel on it. If the face is red, the towel should be cold. Take a caffetin or pentalgin tablet.
4. Caffeine addiction
How does it happen
Dull pain in the morning.
Why
You probably sleep too little, and also drink a lot of coffee. Keep in mind that the body becomes addicted to caffeine like a drug.
What to do
Drink no more than one to two cups of coffee a day.
By the way
Headache can often be a symptom of such diseases as neurocirculatory dystonia, cervical osteochondrosis, sinusitis, colds, flu, inflammation of the facial and trigeminal nerves, heart failure, glaucoma, severe hypothermia, poisoning, as well as some infectious diseases (for example, pyelonephritis). With recovery, the headache will also disappear.
If your head hurts often:
- avoid worry;
- get enough sleep;
- alternate work with rest, walk, swim in the pool;
- exclude chocolate, smoked meats, canned food, spicy dishes, red wine from your menu.
