The AKAI washing machine is a rather complex mechanism consisting of several subsystems. Malfunctions can affect any of the parts.
In order for the repair to be provided in a timely manner, the user is warned of a breakdown by the SM self-diagnosis system. Akai electronic washing machine displays fault codes on the board. If you know what the code means, what caused it and how to fix the breakdown, you can significantly save on repairs.
The error table lists the most common codes that are typical for most Akai CMA models.
AKAI washing machine gives an error: causes and signs of appearance, repair and problem solving
Malfunction code | Decryption and reason |
Codes relevant for AWM1400WF / AWM1400GF, AWM1000WS / AWM800WS series
Err 1 | Err code 1 means that the sunroof interlock did not work. How to fix a breakdown? It is necessary to disassemble the hatch and determine what is the reason: in the handle, UBL or guide. The broken element must be replaced. |
Err 2 | With the Err 2 code, the water from the tank does not drain. Resetting errors in the washing machine in this case occurs after cleaning the drain system: first of all, the drain filter and the water drain hose. In other cases, the drain pump or drain pipe may be to blame for the missing drain. |
Err 3 | If the display shows an Err 3 error, this may indicate a broken temperature sensor. To remove the error, it is necessary to disassemble the machine, remove the sensor from the heater, check it with a tester and replace it in case of a malfunction. |
Err 4 | If Err 4 was displayed on the display, the tubular heater, the heating element, could fail (or break through to the body). It is necessary to check the heating element (contact resistance and breakdown to the case) and replace it. In some cases, it is enough to clean the heater from scale with the help of special tools. |
Err 5 | With the Err 5 code, no water is poured into the system, which means a blockage in the filling system. You need to check the hose, filter and valve. Perhaps there is simply no water in the system or the pressure is too low – this is already the competence of a plumber. |
Err 6 | When Err 6 is on, there is a problem with the CMA motor. It is necessary to replace the motor brushes or the motor itself. |
Err 7 | Err 7 lit up – it means that excessive foam formation has been registered in the system. This indicates an incorrectly selected washing program, an excess of powder in a cuvette, or an incorrectly selected product. |
Err 8 | Err 8 error shows the Akai washing machine when the tank is full. This may indicate a breakdown of the water level sensor. |
And | With the code “UND”, the spinning of the laundry does not work. The drum may be out of balance due to incorrect distribution of the laundry. Remove the excess from the tank and restart the wash. |
The following series of errors is typical for the Akai AWD 1200GF washing machine model
Err 1 | As in previous models, when this code appears, the door lock (UBL) does not work. |
Err 2 | Waste water does not leave the tank. |
Err 3 | Damage to the temperature sensor. |
Err 4 | Heater failure. |
Err 5 | Water is not supplied to the machine due to a malfunction in the filling system or insufficient pressure in the water supply. |
Err 6 | Engine problem. |
Err 7 | The engine is malfunctioning due to excessive foaming. |
Err 8 | The washing machine drum is full of water. |
Err 9 | With the Err code 9, the drying temperature sensor broke. |
Err 10 | Err code 10 means a problem with the water pressure (level) sensor. |
Err 12 | If the washing machine shows Err 12 on the display, this means that the temperature sensor has failed during the drying of the laundry. |
Err 13 | With Err 13, the sunroof lock does not work during program start. |
Err 14 | Error Err 14 may mean an imbalance in the drum, due to which there may be no spin in the machine. What to do? Unload the drum and continue washing. |
Knowing what the fault codes for Akai brand machines mean, you can always identify the breakdown in time. The main thing is to react quickly, often the washing machine can be repaired on its own, without contacting a specialist.
