French press one arm standing — technique exercises:

  1. Stand right up, holding in one hand a dumbbell. Feet shoulder width apart. Extend your arm with the dumbbell over your head. Hint: the little finger of the working hand facing toward the ceiling, palm facing forward. The dumbbell is directly overhead.
  2. This will be your initial position.
  3. Part of the arm from the elbow must be near the head perpendicular to the floor. Elbows directed inward to the torso. On the inhale, lower the dumbbell back behind your head in a semicircular trajectory. Continue until the forearm touches the bicep.
  4. On the exhale, return the hand to the starting position, tensing the triceps.
  5. Complete the required number of repetitions.
  6. Change arms and repeat the exercise.

Variations: You can also perform this exercise using a rope handle attached to the bottom block.
