Forget about endless deadlines and test the power of the “French paradox” in action, and at the same time love yourself – all this is possible in Bordeaux in southwestern France.
What is it that attracts this place so much besides many kilometers of vineyards, the largest sand dune in Europe in Pyla and the Arcachon Bay? In the first place, of course, impressions. And there are quite a lot of them, especially if the path passes through the beautiful French town of Bordeaux in the Aquitaine region. It is pleasant to wander along it, and especially in summer.
Look in the mirror
No sweltering heat and negative impressions. The multi-kilometer embankment along the Garonne River is decorated with buildings of the XNUMXth century and the spire of St. Michael’s Cathedral. A large project for the restructuring, improvement and transformation of Bordeaux into the pearl of Aquitaine was conceived and implemented by the mayor Marquis de Tourny.
The symbol of the town, its calling card and zest is the Exchange Square. In addition to historical buildings, thanks to which the city is called little Paris, there is the famous Water Mirror – polished black granite slabs covered with a thin layer of water. Every 15 minutes, water flows under them through special holes, and after another 5 minutes, small sprays are sprayed through them with nozzles, creating a fog effect over the area. A moment – and the fog disappears. Here, the inner child wakes up in us, and the mouth spreads in a happy smile – not a single sad or unhappy face can be found during such an attraction.
But if you want to feel even more happiness, and at the same time discover hidden resources in yourself, a good solution is to try the effect of wine therapy, which the region is so famous for.
Paradoxical but true
There are at least two spa hotels famous for wine treatment in Aquitaine. One is located directly in Bordeaux, the other is just 20 minutes away by car. There you can immerse yourself in the philosophy of the so-called French paradox – eat and drink within reasonable limits, raising your spirits and improving your health – while wine cosmetics will transform your face and body.
Who knows what you’ll discover with treatments such as a merlot wrap, detox massage, facial and exfoliation with the famous Crushed Grapeseed Honey Scrub! Take the opportunity to dive into a barrel of grape pomace. A total renewal of not only the body, but also the soul is guaranteed! And then, rebooting, you can continue your journey through France.
