Like all hairstyles, braiding is done on hair that has been pre-washed with conditioner. If they are fluffy and generally not very docile, it makes sense to apply a styling spray or mousse first. If your hair lacks splendor, you can first use curlers to create root volume or make a light bouffant.
If desired, you can weave a colored ribbon into the braid – it becomes a bright accessory and looks spectacular.

1. Select the triangular strand at the edge of the hairline where you will start braiding.
2. Divide it into three equal parts
3. Throw the right strand onto the middle one, place the left strand on top. Weaving starts the same as a classic braid
4. Put the right strand on the left again, but now add the key element of weaving a French braid-pick: with your fingers or the tail of a comb, grab an additional strand at the hairline and apply it to the right strand
5. Thus, picking up each time a strand of approximately equal width to the right and left, continue weaving
6. When making a pick-up, be guided by the width of the first selected strand and try not to go beyond its borders so that the braid pattern turns out to be even
Marianne will weave a braid in the form of a zigzag, therefore, at the level of the temple, the weaving changes direction.
7. To design the bend, the grip must be taken not according to the previous width, but from the parting that was formed when the first strand was selected
8. Continue in this way weaving in the direction of the left temple.
9. Having reached the left temple, begin to wrap the weaving in the direction of the back of the head
Do not forget to pull the strands so that the braid fits snugly against the head. This will significantly extend her life span.
10. Having reached the bottom edge line at the back of the head, weave the remaining length and fix with an elastic band
If desired, the remaining length can be fastened into a tail or bun.
11. To make the braid look more voluminous, slightly stretch the side strands, fix the result with varnish
The French braid is ready! It is not only a symbol of classic Russian beauty, but also a very practical way to style long hair for any occasion. It can also be supplemented with any accessories.
