Losing extra pounds without effort is the dream of everyone who struggles with unsuccessful weight loss. Cryolipolysis gives hope to all those who have already lost faith in miracle diets and are tired of physical exercise, and still struggle with folds. This non-invasive method of freezing adipose tissue aims to induce lipolysis, i.e. the breakdown of fat cells. How does it work, what does the treatment look like and does it allow you to achieve the desired effect?
The whole series of treatments lasts from two to four months, and their effect is to be a noticeable, but at the same time natural-looking fat reduction. It is one of the few methods of getting rid of fatty tissue without the use of surgical procedures.
What is this about?
It turns out that adipose tissues are more susceptible to obtaining energy from them by cooling, unlike other tissues. After entering the office of aesthetic medicine, the patient is asked to undress from the waist down, then he receives disposable underwear and lies down on a comfortable armchair. The treatment lasts from 30 to 60 minutes, does not hurt and is completely non-invasive. A cooling head is applied to the skin tissue in order to extract the energy lying underneath the adipose tissue.
The rest of the skin is protected by a special frostbite gel. How is the thickness of the fatty layer removed? Frozen fat cells go through controlled cell death and are gradually eliminated as a result. In this way, we gradually get rid of the fat from the areas where we do not want it.
Are there any side effects?
Immediately after the procedure, visible swelling and redness remain on the skin. However, they disappear after two or four days. Cryolipolysis is performed in intervals – the norm is several sessions every 2-3 weeks. No more than four areas are treated during one session. This method of slimming is currently considered one of the most innovative and non-invasive, which is available in offices specializing in slimming. Some people may be disturbed by redness and small bruises, and the view of the skin after the procedure is certainly not the most pleasant. The sucked skin is irritated for some time, which undoubtedly has to be taken into account.
Cryolipolysis – an effective weight loss method?
According to doctors and specialists, it is an effective way to slim body parts where there are “stubborn” and difficult to eliminate fat folds. The effects are visible after just two sessions. Unfortunately, the procedure is quite expensive – it costs from PLN 1000 to PLN 1500. In addition, it is not a way to fight obesity. It is not liposuction, so it will not work miracles – it will be perfect mainly for people who are not overweight and still cannot cope with fat rolls on the stomach, thighs or hips.
