Free treatment in Moscow list of free services

1. We count the years and go to the medical examination

Some people are skeptical about medical examination in city polyclinics – they say, pure formality, a stupid trip to doctor’s offices “for show”. However, those who managed to undergo this medical examination (in particular, last year) are encouraging: in fact, now in the capital you can get free of charge for very useful examinations, for which you have to shell out a lot of money in commercial clinics. So do not neglect.

Let us remind you that medical examination is carried out every three years, starting from the age of 21. This year, 2015, Muscovites who turn (or have turned from January 1) 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, etc., can exercise their right to a preventive medical examination: 36, 39, 42, 45, 48, 51, 54, 57, 60, 63, 66, 69, 72, 75, 78, 81, 84, 87, 90 and so on.

2. Money – no, documents – yes

For a free medical examination, you only need a passport and a compulsory medical insurance policy (MHI). You need to contact the district clinic to which you are attached for compulsory medical insurance services. As a rule, this is the district at the place of residence (“registration”). However, do not forget that today the law allows citizens to change medical institutions once a year and to be attached to any other polyclinic, if the norms of the load on doctors are not exceeded there. Therefore, you have the right, for example, to attach for service to the clinic near the place of work, if it is more convenient for you, and undergo medical examination there. To do this, you need to write an application for attachment to the name of the head physician.

Important: in this case, you will receive all medical services during the year in this particular clinic.

3. Examinations for the full program

Clinical examination is carried out in two stages, the first includes 20 types of examinations. Some of them are prescribed depending on age: for example, an ultrasound of the abdominal cavity for prophylactic purposes (that is, even in the absence of any complaints) is performed starting from the age of 39. For men, an analysis to determine the risk of prostate cancer is prescribed after 50.

Other important studies include determining the level of cholesterol and glucose in the blood, a cervical smear for women, mammography (from 39 years old), measurement of intraocular pressure (for all patients from 39 years old).

At the second stage, if necessary, gastroscopy, colonoscopy and other examinations can be prescribed.

FOR THE NOTICE

The patient has the right to refuse any of the examinations and analyzes, while the right to the rest is retained in full (in accordance with clause 8 of the Procedure approved by order of the Order of the Ministry of Health of 3.12.2012 No. 1006n).

4. Welcome to health centers

Such centers operate in every district of Moscow – as a rule, on the basis of large city polyclinics (addresses can be found on the official website of the Moscow Health Department mosgorzdrav.ru). To visit the health center, you will need a passport and a compulsory medical insurance policy. Among the procedures that can be taken free of charge are tests for the state of the respiratory system, the ratio of water, adipose and muscle tissue in the body, determination of early signs of atherosclerosis in the vessels, and other useful examinations.

5. “Back to school”

We are talking about free medical schools, directions to which are issued by Health Centers based on the results of examinations – if certain problems are found. For example, the School of Healthy Eating, the School for Reducing Overweight, the School for Arterial Hypertension, the School for Smoking Cessation and others operate in Moscow.
