Residents of the voivodeship Łódź, aged 35 to 60, will be able to take advantage of a free ophthalmological examination in March. The tests will be carried out in seven health care facilities under the authority of the Marshal’s Office in Łódź.
The campaign of free ophthalmic examinations is carried out by the Marshal’s Office as part of the Early Glaucoma Detection program. In addition to the standard eye test, it will also be possible to perform, inter alia, visual field, fundus and intraocular pressure tests.
The Marshal of the Lodzkie Voivodship, Witold Stępień, emphasizes that the health of the region’s inhabitants is one of the priorities for local authorities and encourages everyone to apply for tests.
We are well aware of the importance of early detection of a vision defect, which is why we want to make sure that as many people as possible benefit from free examinations. This is one of several preventive programs that we have financed this year – said Stępień.
