Free medicines for children under 3 years old: a list, a list of which are prescribed
Parents of young children cannot do without medication, because babies are often sick. And a common cold crumbs can cost 2-3 thousand rubles. Few people know that it is possible to get free medicines for children under 3 years of age. At the same time, they are given out regardless of the material security of the family.
Who is entitled to free medicines by law?
According to the law, all parents who have babies under the age of 3 have the right to free drugs. It doesn’t matter if your child is disabled or not. In addition, the status and material security of the family does not affect the dispensing of medicines.
But there is one exception – such medicines cannot be claimed by the parents of a disabled child who have chosen material payments instead of a social package. Otherwise, there are no restrictions on either the price or the quality of the drugs. Moreover, prescriptions are not affected by how many times the child is. And even if he needs medication 2-3 times a month, the doctor has no right to refuse.
For a complete list of free drugs available in your area, please contact the clinic’s registry or your pediatrician. Indeed, in different parts of our country, the financing of medicine is different. But in any case, there is a federal drug list, consisting of the most essential drugs.
To get free medicines, you need to visit the hospital, because such prescriptions are not prescribed at home. You need to have the following with you:
- the birth certificate of the baby;
- SNILS of a child;
- OMS policy;
- certificate confirming the baby’s place of residence.
The prescription is written out on a special form, and in two copies. The first of them is pasted into the child’s card, the second is handed out to receive medicines at the municipal pharmacy.
Remember that a doctor has no right to demand a certificate of income from parents, because free drugs are issued regardless of the family’s financial situation. If the doctor refuses to write a prescription, then first of all contact the head physician. If this does not help, then write an electronic complaint to the official website of the Ministry of Health.
Parents have the right to receive free medicines for children under 3 years of age. But it is worthwhile to understand that in each region there is a certain limit of drugs, and if it is exhausted, then you will be denied a prescription.
