Many myths have arisen around the freckles. You can often find numerous understatements and conflicting information about them. In fact, freckles are nothing more than an uneven concentration of skin pigment, i.e. melanin. What does their appearance depend on?
The causes of discoloration may be different. People who have them are more likely to have them fair skin, which is why they are especially associated with, for example, redheads. Apart from genetic determinants, the sun plays an important role as it darkens previously bright discolorations.
