Not only wrinkles can give you a couple of decades.
At 20, you can experiment and use almost any fragrance. Yes, sometimes you will look strange, but you will be forgiven for this due to your age. But at 30, 40 and 50, you should think about what exactly is in your perfume wardrobe. Perhaps it is better to leave something for home use, so as not to shock others and not add yourself an extra 5-10 years.
Vintage
This is a perfume that was created at least 15 years ago, at one time they were a hit or a squeak of fashion and are a kind of reflection of that era. Most of the fragrances have long been discontinued. However, they can still be bought at flea markets. Yes, some of the vintage fragrances do still sound great because the ingredients they contain are no longer used in modern fragrances. Nevertheless, the spirit of those times lays on the vintage fragrances. And if you do not want to add yourself an extra 5-7 years, it is better to enjoy the aromas at home. And walk in the light of more modern options.
Classic chypre
Chypre is one of the oldest fragrance families. The name comes from the Chypre perfume, created by the French perfumer François Coty in 1917. Classic chypre is based on notes of oak moss, patchouli, lavender, labdanum, bergamot and galbanum. Despite the beauty of the composition, chypres often send us back in time. They are strict and adamant. And it is quite difficult to fit into modern reality with them. Perfumers often deviate from the classical base, and then chypres become floral, citrusy, woody, etc. Then their adaptability to modernity increases.
Oriental flavors
The main ingredients here are resins, spices, sweets, exotic flowers, amber, musk, spices and seasonings – everything that is directly associated with distant warm countries. They have a dense and dense train, high tenacity and a rich pyramid. They carry warmth in themselves, enveloping in a mist intoxicating with sweetness. In the evening or during the cold season, this may be quite appropriate, but in the daytime, the aromas will overwhelm the interlocutors and add a few extra years to you. Let’s remember the oriental beauties. They, too, often look older than their age.
Too heavy aromas
The scent should be heard from a distance of 60 centimeters. This is the train that follows you and reminds you that you are here. But if after your appearance the smell hangs in the air for more than 10 minutes, then you are clearly overdone. On a subconscious level, others will have the impression that you are getting old, since you do not smell a strong smell.
The ideal dose of perfume is two drops of perfume in the ear or a couple of zips in the neck area.
Too sweet scents
Even if you are an avid sweet tooth, avoid overeating sweetness in aromas. There may indeed be too much caramel, chocolate, praline or jam here. No, it won’t affect your figure in any way, but the smell of old age and decay is similar to the scent of sugary-sweet perfumes. Therefore, it is better to avoid using perfumes with a high concentration of ylang-ylang, vanilla and caramel.
