On average, we wait 2,5 months for specialist doctors. But there are also those to whom waiting for a visit is almost a miracle. For example, to an endocrinologist. In Wrocław – four years, in Warsaw – over a year, in Kraków – nine, and in Katowice – eight months. The latest results of the Watch Health Care Foundation Barometer confirm that access to health services in Poland is still very limited.
Apart from endocrinology, the biggest barriers await patients who have been referred to:
- orthodontist – 11,8 months,
- angiologist – 7 months,
- cardiologist – 7 months,
- immunologist – 5,9 months,
- urologist – 4,8 months.
