Forty Years of ALIMENTARIA

For four decades, the food contest par excellence of our country has been betting on the product, gastronomy and internationalization.

We are less than a week away from the beginning of the fourteenth edition of the International Food and Beverages Exhibition, known as Alimentaria.

It will be the next few days, from April 25 to 28, when around the Gran Vía de la Fira de Barcelona venue, the best and largest gastronomic bet of recent years will be concentrated to pay a clear tribute to food, companies and of course, to the people who make daily eating possible.

The number of invited international buyers has grown and with it the international image of the Fair, which continues to bet on innovation in the field of food and beverage consumption trends.

Importers and distribution operators and the Horeca channel from all over the world will meet at business meetings, such as the new Intervene Business Meetings. where the wine sector will bring together 180 key players in the international purchasing activity from Europe, Canada, Mexico, the United States, Colombia, South Korea, China, Japan and Southeast Asian countries to establish commercial ties for Spanish wines.

The most outstanding and the latest news from the different wineries and denominations of origin in the country will present and offer their products in a clear commitment to the internationalization of one of our best ambassadors abroad.

The new exhibition areas of the Food Fair

Along with the now traditional exhibition spaces of reference of the Hall, such as Intervin, Intercarn, Interlact and Restaurama, a new space for food trends and special products is presented, which comes under the name of Multiple Foods.

Within its space we can find a wide universe of products and references of current gastronomy such as the most varied showcase of canned, smoked, or pre-cooked food in Expoconser, los International Pavilions, o los de Lands of Spain, Healthy Foods y Fine Foods.

All of them will share experiences with the most prestigious royalty of EVOO, in the Olive Oil Bar, where a hundred liquid gold brands from Spain will be the protagonists of the show, along with those recently awarded in the World’s Best Olive Oils 2015 in New York and the eight winners in the Jaén Selección contest.

In parallel Cocktail & Spirits It will take us into the exciting world of spirits with an exhibition of products and above all a spectacular staging at the demonstration bar with the experts Matías Saril, Mario Ubieto, Iván García, Daniele dalla Pola, Javier Caballero and Pepe Orts.
