For the love of art

The Norwegian district of Nur-Trendelag holds the record for the contribution to science.

Scientists were interested in cancer and diabetes, allergies and obesity, lung and heart disease. And only recently they decided at the same time to learn about … happiness. Employees of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology analyzed the work, what they like and where they go to 50 men and women of Nur-Trendelag and how satisfied they are with life. It turned out that neither income nor education play a decisive role. Much more important is the love of art! What makes us happier is both our own creativity and visiting museums, concerts, theaters. So it makes sense to get abandoned watercolor sketches, enroll in a dance studio – or on a cold evening, prefer a theatrical premiere to a sofa!
