Foot care: making soft heels

Daily care: the secret to beautiful and healthy legs

For daily foot care you will need:

  • nourishing and moisturizing cream
  • cream for cracked heels
  • refreshing gel
  • protective day cream
  • sea salt, soda and bath foam
  • brush or washcloth

The minimum required foot care involves washing and then lubricating the feet with a nourishing cream. If your feet are tired, cold or swollen, instead of a regular hygienic shower, take a warm bath with herbal infusions, sea salt or foam. Special foot bath tablets are also suitable, containing nutrients and essential oils that have a beneficial effect on the skin of the feet. Prepare the bath, lower your feet into it for 10-15 minutes. You can massage your feet with a brush or washcloth, this procedure will restore blood circulation. Finally, pat your feet dry with a soft towel and apply cream to damp skin.

Choose the right footwear. Tight and uncomfortable shoes with overly high heels can cause blisters, and the constant wearing of open mules and clogs can cause cracked heels.

Choose the right foot creams. For daily care, use light nourishing and moisturizing products that contain antibacterial ingredients. Dry skin needs stronger creams that include a complex of oils and glycerin. For chapped heels, there are creams with a healing effect, they contain antiseptics and urea, which helps to restore the skin.

If your feet are prone to calluses and scuffs, special day creams are needed. They are applied after a morning shower, rubbing in until completely absorbed. Such products contain emollients, deodorants and silicones that cover the skin with a thinnest protective film. Such creams are indispensable in the summer, after their application you can not be afraid to rub your feet.

Cooling gels are a very useful tool. They are applied to tired, weary legs, and you can use such funds several times during the day. Non-greasy gels are applied over tights or stockings, they are instantly absorbed, leaving a pleasant feeling of freshness and lightness.

Peels and masks: homemade recipes for the feet

When assembling a cosmetic bag for foot care, purchase:

  • hard scrub
  • pedicure file and pumice
  • glycerol
  • starch
  • cotton socks
  • disposable plastic socks or plastic wrap
  • callus plaster
  • gel for removal of calluses and corns
  • nourishing foot mask
  • paraffin
  • mask brush

Treat your feet with more intensive care at least once a week. After a warm bath, have an exfoliation session. You can clean your feet with a sugar, salt, or ground fruit seed scrub. Opt for scrubs that are harsh enough: rough skin on your feet needs intense exfoliation. Treat dry feet to enhance the effect. If your heels are more delicate, apply the scrub to damp skin. Choose products with the addition of mineral oils, they soften the skin well.

Be careful when using a salt scrub. Salt grains on scratches or scuffs will cause painful sensations.

Rinse off the scrub thoroughly and dry your feet with a towel. Apply Callus and Callus Removal Gel on rough heels and under the toes. A fruit acid-based product enriched with algae and aloe extracts is suitable. Leave the gel on the skin for 1 minute and then wash it off with soap and water.

Remove softened skin with a pumice stone or a special pedicure scraper. Then apply a ready-made mask based on natural oils, lecithin and nourishing waxes to the skin of your feet. To enhance the effect, wrap your feet in plastic wrap and put on socks. The procedure lasts 20-25 minutes, after which the remnants of the mask must be washed off.

If you have painful calluses on your feet, apply a medicated patch to them. Attach it so that the patch does not come into contact with healthy skin

Paraffin wraps are very useful. Melt the refined paraffin wax in a water bath. Apply it to your feet with a flat brush, and then wrap your feet with pieces of plastic wrap or wear special plastic disposable socks. Put on cotton socks on top. Wait 20-25 minutes and carefully remove the frozen paraffin. This procedure is especially good for feet prone to painful cracks. After the paraffin wrap, lubricate the skin with a moisturizing gel or light nourishing cream.

The last step is nutrition and hydration. Try a home remedy with glycerin. Mix 2 tablespoons of pharmacy glycerin with 2 tablespoons of potato starch. Rub the mixture thoroughly into the skin of your feet from toes to ankles. Then put on your cotton socks. This procedure is best done at night. Carry out a glycerin wrap in courses of 10-15 procedures, the mask not only intensively softens the skin, but also whitens it.
