Foods That Help Burn Fat and Promote Weight Loss

Today everyone dreams of losing weight. We are no longer satisfied with grandmother’s and mother’s rice and buckwheat diets and advice, give us something new, fashionable. It seems that the whole world in one impulse wants to lose excess fat, eating flaxseed and sesame seeds for breakfast, eating salad with avacado and macadamia oil for lunch, and for dinner – only water and kefir.

We decided to revise our and your knowledge about modern and fashionable means of losing weight and invited Natalia Sevastyanova, endocrinologist and nutritionist, wellness coach.

Coconut oil

Recently, coconut oil has been gaining popularity. Healthy lifestyle people appreciate it for a long shelf life, for the absence of oxidation and rancidity during cooking. This oil does not form carcinogens. It is believed that fats from coconut oil are not stored in reserve, they are well absorbed by the body. This oil contains dozens of fatty acids useful for losing weight and the most “rejuvenating” vitamin E, as well as magnesium, calcium, iron and selenium. Many believe that eating coconut oil can help you lose weight.

Nutritionist’s opinion:

– The cosmetological properties of coconut oil do not raise any doubts, which cannot be said about the use of coconut oil in cooking. Many nutritionists have wondered more than once: is it really that useful? Moreover, we have before our eyes an example of the countries of Southeast Asia, where residents cook everything only in this oil and have rather slender figures. Can you lose weight with coconut oil?

Definitely not. We must clearly understand that this is a high-calorie fat. This is not a cucumber or even a carrot. Coconut oil should not dominate the daily diet. By the way, this applies to any super-healthy oil. Only the daily norm – no more than 1 gram per 1 kilogram of your weight – will not lead to weight gain.

Yes, it can and should be used in cooking, replacing margarines and butter, yes, you can fry food on it, but be sure to count calories.

Where to use: PP-baking, desserts, baking vegetables (greasing them, we get an unusual oriental taste).

Non-milk from oats, buckwheat, rice

The low calorie content of non-milk, pleasant taste, the absence of bacteria and fungi, which are in ordinary milk, made it dizzying popularity.

Nutritionist’s opinion:

– Nemoloko is a top model for a healthy lifestyle. Why? There are a lot of complaints about traditional milk. Regular traditional milk is considered to be a product with a high antigenic load. By consuming cow’s milk, we release a large amount of antigen into the body, automatically provoke a cascade of biochemical reactions that actually do not differ from traditional inflammation (without a virus, bacteria and fungi).

If we minimize the processes of inflammation in the body, we can preserve youth, beauty and longevity for much longer. From the standpoint of modern dietetics, obesity and overweight are equal to inflammation in terms of biochemical reactions.

And also, according to statistics, every third person has latent lactose deficiency.

Non-milk, plant-based milk, absolutely devoid of the disadvantages that traditional milk has. By eating it, we prolong our youth and health. Another interesting fact for women: on non-milk you can control the quality of the body – swelling and friability go away.

By the way, soy milk is also useful for women – a source of phytoestrogens that are useful to us. But for men, female sex hormones from soy milk only harm.

Where to use: instead of milk and cream in coffee and tea, desserts, cereals, puddings, smoothies.

Chia seeds, flax seeds, sesame seeds

Making desserts, adding to salads, cereals – we cannot imagine life without these seeds. We know that they are rich in omega-3 and omega-5 polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamins B, E, A, minerals and fiber.

Nutritionist’s opinion:

– These are good eco-products that modify the properties of ordinary food: they add an interesting taste, look, smell. And for a person who follows the figure, this is important: the usual food will sparkle with new colors and, as a result, the mood will improve. Plus, these seeds contribute to the normal functioning of the intestines, are rich in fiber, trace elements and vitamins.

For some reason, many endow chia and flax seeds with super properties – they effectively enrich the body with omega-3 polyunsaturated acids. Someone firmly believes that by eating 2 teaspoons of seeds, they will receive a daily requirement of omega-3. These are illusions. It is much more effective for those who monitor body weight to use vitamins in capsules with a known dosage.

Where to use: add to salads, cereals, soups, smoothies, desserts.

Microgreen

A new hobby all over the world is growing greens on the windowsill. The first 2-3 leaves are useful. It is in them that there is a high concentration of biologically active substances, plant enzymes, vitamins and minerals. Microgreens can be obtained by germinating legumes, grains, vegetables, and greens.

Nutritionist’s opinion:

– Another super-exclusive, a kind of creon or mezim forte, but herbal and safe. Regular intake of microgreens improves digestion and promotes weight loss. Microgreens are the leader in magnesium content. Just pay attention, we are talking about sprouting not quite ordinary seeds from processed bags, which are sold in gardening shops. Microgreens are special seeds, purchased from the eco-goods departments, with a unique preparation. And you can grow on fabric, makeup sponges.

Where to use: add to salads.

Whitgrass

Wheatgrass juice can be obtained by yourself by growing and processing wheatgrass. And you can buy on specialized sites for healthy lifestyle or in eco-departments.

Nutritionist’s opinion:

– A tasty and healthy juice, which in sports circles is considered a super-energetic of plant origin. For a healthy lifestyle and PP, this is the strongest vitamin and mineral complex that helps burn cholesterol and body fat, reduce appetite, while giving a burst of strength and energy. The daily rate is 30 ml per day.

Where to use: used in its pure form.
