Foods that can only be eaten once a month

Check to see if you are eating them more often than you should.

Classical dietetics does not highlight any specific foods, the consumption of which should be tried to be reduced strictly to one time per month. However, several groups, communication with which it would be worthwhile to limit, can still be named.

Trash food

That is, all harmful products, which in English are called junk – garbage. If you cannot resist your passion for fast food, chips, soda and other recognized unhealthy foods, then at least limit their consumption to one time per month. For example, you can arrange a “loading day” on the last Sunday of the month or on any special and enjoyable day for you. But do not overdo it – the body, weaned from heavy fatty and sugary foods, can cause unpredictable reactions: from flatulence to intestinal upset.

Sweet foods

Today there is a great trend towards a complete rejection of sugar and where it is found – cakes, pastries, sweets. If this is still too much for you, try to first reduce the use of sweets to once a week, and then a month. By the way, it is worth doing this not only for the sake of the figure – there are at least 11 more reasons to give up sugar.

High-calorie foods

There is food that seems to be healthy, but if consumed excessively, it is very high in calories: the same avocados, nuts, dried fruits. If you cannot limit yourself to the canonical 30 grams, then in the struggle for a slim figure it is worth eating high-calorie foods less often. This list also includes semi-finished products and overly refined foods. Extra pounds seriously “burden” your body, which can lead to various diseases: problems with blood vessels, joints, diabetes.

Unpleasant foods

You should not use something for the company that you do not personally like (for example, a dish cooked not very tasty by your beloved relative or an exotic dish abroad that you obviously don’t like, but it is offered by the host): this will not lead to anything good. An exception is if it is required by the norms of politeness. After all, we do not like food for a reason. Usually the body “remembers” foods that have once harmed us: have become the cause of poisoning or allergies.

Substandard products

No, we do not think you are buying poor quality food on purpose. It’s just that it’s very easy to run into a fake in stores. Moreover, most often they fake dairy products: they sell a lot of them, and you want even more profit. Pay attention to price tags: if the product is much cheaper than competitors, then there is a catch somewhere. And the shops themselves often call cottage cheese with the addition of vegetable oils “curd”, and the cheese product is labeled as “cheese”.
