Supplementing the diet with folic acid in women before conception and during pregnancy (prevention of congenital defects of the neural tube), during breastfeeding, during the use of oral contraceptives, for the proper functioning of the hematopoietic system, as an auxiliary in the antiatherosclerotic diet. Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.

WARNINGS

Some types of cancer should be treated with caution. Certain drugs: antiepileptics, contraceptives, folic acid antagonists and alcohol reduce the amount of folic acid in the body. If the preparation is used for a long time, the concentration of vitamin B12 should be periodically monitored. Folic acid found in food products is not always well absorbed by the body. Some foods, such as beans and orange juice, contain enzymes that inhibit the conversion of folic acid to a form that is easily absorbed by the body. The folic acid contained in the preparation is present in a form that does not require additional changes before being absorbed in the small intestine. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

INTERACTIONS

Folic acid metabolism is disturbed by contraceptive preparations, which may reduce the concentration of folic acid in women using oral contraceptives. This increases the risk of anemia and increasing the risk of having a baby with a birth defect in the future.

SIDE EFFECTS

The preparation is usually very well tolerated; very rarely possible allergic reactions.
