Scientists have shown for the first time that eating foods that contain large amounts of folic acid approximately doubles the risk of type 66 diabetes. In Paris, the Center for Research in Epidemiology and Health conducted a study involving 500 women. They lasted over 14 years.
All this time, doctors monitored the health of the respondents from the point of view of the development of type 56 diabetes and studied their menus. As a result, it turned out that the risk of diabetes increased by XNUMX% in those participants who regularly included foods containing folic acid in their diet. The experts were surprised that those of the volunteers who were of normal weight were at risk.
