In autumn, beekeepers begin to prepare the apiary with bees for wintering. In order for the bee family to survive the winter without consequences, they must be healthy. Fluvalidez

Application in beekeeping

Often, beekeepers are faced with such a disease in bees as varroatosis – the appearance of a tick. If we take into account the reviews of beekeepers, then “Fluvalidez” perfectly helps to cope with this disease in bees. As a rule, the processing of bees begins after the extraction of honey or after the completion of the initial examination.

The drug is available in strips, as a result of which it is very convenient to attach it to the hives. Honey collected by bees treated for ticks can be eaten without fear. It often happens that the disease is noticed only in the last stages, when it is not possible to save the entire family of bees, which is why Fluvalidez is also used to prevent the onset of diseases.

Instructions for use

“Fluvalidez” is used to treat bees from varroatosis. As a rule, there are no temporary restrictions on the use of this drug. It is necessary to install plates between 3 and 4, 7 and 8 frames. In most cases, Fluvalidez strips are left on for a month. Processing is carried out in late autumn or early spring. If necessary, treatment can be carried out in the winter, but on condition that the temperature regime is not lower than -10 ° C.

Comment! If the strip touches about 10-15% of the total number of bees, then this will be enough, since the treated individuals will spread the drug to all the others.

Dosage, application rules

Fluvalinate is the main active ingredient of Fluvalidez, which is used to process bee colonies. As a rule, beekeepers begin to use the drug in the spring, after the initial examination of the bees, as well as in the summer and autumn, when the honey is pumped out. Since the drug is released in strips, it is placed in the hive. For every 10-12 nesting frames, 2 strips of Fluvalidez are taken.

If the family is small and includes a maximum of 6 frames, or it is layering, then 1 strip is enough, which is placed in the center.

Fluvalidez

For a weak family, the drug should be placed between 3 and 4 frames, in a strong family it should be placed between 3-4 and 7-8 frames. The period of stay of “Fluvalidez” in the hive can vary from 3 to 30 days (it all depends on the printed brood).

Advice! To fasten the Fluvalidez strip, a paper clip is used, through which a hairpin is threaded and then fixed between two frames in a vertical position.

Reviews

My bee experience will soon be 30 years, we can say that I have been with bees since childhood. During this time, I didn’t have to deal with anything, what diseases my bee colonies didn’t go through. Recently I ran into a problem – ticks appeared. Began to look for drugs for treatment. I studied a lot of reviews about Fluvalidez and decided to try it. I want to say that this is really heavy artillery. I was surprised that such a strong drug does not contain any chemicals, they are released in comfortable strips, which also cannot but rejoice. In general, I got rid of the tick quickly, I hope that forever.

Unfortunately, the trouble did not bypass my apiary either – the bees got mites. What drugs I just did not use – nothing helped. There were a lot of ticks, so they remained. I already said goodbye to my apiary, as a friend recommended me to try Fluvalidez. I believed in efficiency with difficulty, but I tried it anyway. My surprise knew no bounds when this infection began to leave my bees. I bought several packages for joy, you never know what. Shelf life – 2 years, let them lie.
