Potted greens are a great way to diversify your interior. However, not all plants are created equal. There are flowers with a bad reputation that are especially harmful in the bedroom.
If there are children or pets in the house, then it is worth staying away from some plants in principle – it does not matter which room they are in.
There are four main groups:
1. The euphorbia family: triangular or triangular euphorbia, poinsettia (Christmas star), croton. These plants secrete a poisonous sap that can cause burns.
2. Decorative house flowers of the nightshade family, for example, decorative nightshade – it has beautiful, but poisonous fruits.
3. The juice, the aroma of flowering, the seeds of most members of the kurtovaya family are also poisonous: adenium, oleander, pachypodium lamera (Madagascar palm).
4. Representatives of the aroid family: dieffenbachia, caladium, monstera, alocasia, unfortunately, are also poisonous.
If there are no small children and animals, you can safely plant such a flower in the apartment. They are quite unpretentious, and do not require anything supernatural in their care. And for safety, it is enough to use gloves when pruning and transplanting.
Plants that will be unwanted guests in the bedroom are those that exude a sweet and heavy aroma when blooming. These include lilies, orchids, lilies of the valley, jasmine.
But if a suffocating aroma threatens only with a headache in the morning, then there is something more terrible. There is a group of plants that become strong allergens during flowering:
– oleander,
– allocation,
– azaleas,
– geranium.
In fact, all plants with poisonous sap can be allergens for people with individual intolerance.
This is where the “flower danger” for the bedroom ends. You should not be afraid that flowers take up a lot of oxygen. This is happening, but in minute quantities. Therefore, the presence of flowers will not in any way affect the amount of oxygen in the bedroom.
Climbing plants enjoy negative fame: ivy ordinary and waxy, Golden mustache… The sign says that they are surviving the owner from the house. In addition, according to popular belief, these plants are energy vampires. For the same reason, it is undesirable to keep in the house ferns.
Have heavy energy coniferse plants. They are also not recommended to be planted in pots and kept at home. Callas – plants with a reputation for flowers of sorrow. They have long been tried not to keep them in dwellings. Pots with dieffenbachia, according to signs, can only be placed in the lobby or corridor. A great option is a terrace. This is due to the fact that Dieffenbachia is credited with the ability to take health and vitality from household members.
However, there are signs and omens – there is no scientific confirmation for them and cannot be. But, nevertheless, these plants have earned a quite unambiguous reputation for themselves. As well as those that the signs strongly recommend to have at home.
