Flowers and bushes of white lilac
White lilacs are more finicky than their colored relatives. She loves warmth and needs care and suitable soil. However, the delicate foam of flowers, which turns the bush into a fragrant cloud, compensates for all the efforts expended. Here are some tips for growing these varieties of lilacs.
White lilac varieties and flower shape
The white lilac group includes many varieties with different shades of buds – from white and pinkish to the color of baked milk. The opened flowers are usually snow-white. They are simple or terry. Depending on the variety, the bushes bloom at different times and make it possible to create a white corner in the garden, which will pass the flowering baton for a long time.
White lilac prefers sunny areas
In Russian gardens and parks, there are different types of this culture:

When to plant white lilac bushes and how to care for them
Planting and caring for this crop is the same as for other varieties of lilacs. This is not to say that lilacs are finicky. However, she needs proper care, a well-lit place, and breathable soil. This is especially important for white varieties.
Open warm places will be favorable conditions for growth and development for lilacs. In the shade, it will grow slowly and bloom less abundantly. The shrub loves nutrient-rich light soils with neutral acidity. Grows poorly in lowlands and wetlands.
It is recommended to plant a shrub in autumn, in September. In the spring, this must be done before the buds open. If it needs to be planted in the summer, then it is planted only with an earthen lump.
The seedling is inspected before planting. Pay attention to the fact that there are green leaves on it. A layer of fertile soil is placed at the bottom of a spacious hole, then a mixture of peat, compost and humus. Pour a bucket of water, place the seedling in the hole and add a nutritious mixture and earth to it. Tamped, watered. Then they water it only in hot weather.
If the bush is unvaccinated, with its own roots, then it can be planted deeper so that additional roots develop. In case of vaccination, in no case should it be added dropwise.
After 2 years, top dressing begins. Phosphorus and potash fertilizers in summer and spring will make the inflorescences large and healthy. Ash will also bring benefits.
Blooming lilacs are useful to cut. This is done so that the inflorescences do not decrease next year.
Thinning and sanitary pruning is carried out in early spring. Bushes over 10 years old undergo a gradual rejuvenating procedure – one main branch is cut off annually. The cut is processed. A new shoot will grow in this place.
The scent and sight of white lilacs in the garden evokes romantic memories and improves mood.
