Flounder: how to fry delicious. Video
Flounder is a very tasty fish with white tender meat. To make an appetizing dish out of it, fry it in a pan, bake it with carrots and onions, or simmer in the oven wrapped in a foil envelope. In any case, you will give yourself and your loved ones incomparable pleasure by serving such a dish with a hearty potato side dish or a light vegetable salad.
A simple recipe for fried flounder
Ingredients: – 2 gutted flounders weighing 350–400 g each; – 1 onion; – 2 tbsp. flour; – 0,5 tsp dried thyme; – 2 pinches of salt; – greens to taste; – vegetable oil.
If you do not like the peculiar flounder smell that comes from cooking, cut off the fins and tail from both sides. In addition, peel off the dark skin, starting from the cut of the tail, and peel the light part of the fish from the scales.
Rinse the flounder, pat dry and rub each carcass with a pinch of salt. Dip the first carcass in flour and place in boiling oil. Fry it for 2 minutes over medium heat, then sprinkle with a pinch of thyme, turn it over, season again and cook for another 3-4 minutes. The second fish is also breaded in flour and send to the skillet.
Peel the onion, cut into half rings, and line the flounder. Fry the onions, stirring constantly, until golden brown, not forgetting to turn over and sprinkle the fish with spice. Serve the grilled carcasses on a vegetable pad with chopped herbs.
Flounder with cheese and tomatoes baked in foil
Ingredients: – 4 small flounders, 250-300 g each;
– 2 tomatoes; – 100 g of hard cheese; – 4 tablespoons sour cream; – crushed zest and juice of 1 lemon; – ground black pepper; – salt; – 15 g of dill.
Prepare the flounder, grate each carcass with a pinch of salt and pepper and drizzle with lemon juice. Chop the herbs, cut the tomatoes into thin circles and grate the cheese. Combine sour cream, dill and zest in a bowl. Prepare 4 sheets of foil and place a fish carcass in the center of each of them, cover with sour cream sauce, vegetable slices and sprinkle with grated cheese. Wrap the silver parcels hermetically and place on a wide baking sheet. Bake the flounder at 25 ° C for 30-180 minutes.
Baked flounder with carrots and onions
Ingredients: – 2 kg of flounder; – 4 carrots; – 4 onions; – 5 cloves of garlic; – 2 tbsp. 9% vinegar; – 4 tablespoons flour; – 2 tbsp. mustard; – 1 tsp sugar (no slide); – 0,5 tsp salt; – vegetable oil.
Peel and butcher the flounder, trim off the fins and tail. Cut each fish across into 3-4 pieces. Coat each of them with mustard and leave to marinate for 20 minutes. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, peel and cut the onions into half rings, chop the garlic. Fry everything in vegetable oil for 3 minutes, season with sugar and salt. Pour vinegar into the pan, stir the frying and after 2 minutes remove it from the stove.
Dip the flounder pieces in flour and place in a greased deep dish or baking sheet. Place the cookware in a preheated 200 ° C oven for 7 minutes, then turn each slice over and bake for another 5 minutes. Remove the baking sheet, cover the fish with fried vegetables and bake for 5-7 minutes.
