Floristics: master class

When creating a floristic composition, you can completely do without flowers. Watch our master class.

Candles on a saucer

If you have a tea set idle, know that it can be used in a decorative composition to decorate the table. Cups and saucers make wonderful candlesticks. You will also need narrow bergrass leaves, wide reed leaves, and moss.

By the way, moss is one of the most amazing plants. It does not have a root system, therefore it is unpretentious in storage. If you collect it in the forest in the summer, bring it home, rinse it, dry it (but not to dust), put it in a bag, then it will keep well until next summer.

  • Components of our decorative composition.
  • The required amount of pre-cleaned moss is placed in a cup.
  • Several bergrass leaves are folded in a circle.

  • The “wreath” is bandaged. If the leaves of bergrass are fresh, they have sufficient elasticity and do not break. When buying, pay attention to the fact that the upper part of the plant is not yellow – then there will be no problems.
  • The diameter of the “wreath” should be slightly larger than the diameter of the cup, but less than the diameter of the saucer. You can slip one sheet into the handle of a cup and playfully wrap it around.
  • The unifying element of the composition will be a reed leaf. Its wide end is inserted into one cup, and the narrow end is threaded into the handle of the other.

  • A “wreath” is twisted from a reed leaf and fastened.
  • It remains to add up the overall composition. It can have any shape: elongated along a long rectangular table or closed circular. Next, candles are inserted. To prevent them from falling, the moss must be tightly packed in the cup.

“Forest” composition

Take your time to throw out the old box, it can be useful for interior decoration. On its basis, you can make a nice “forest” composition. The main materials for her are a mixture of different types of moss, as well as branches and leaves of Chinese lila. The plant is quite exotic, but it can be replaced with absolutely any branches (the main thing is that they are rather thick) and berries (the same dried rosehip or mountain ash). If the moss has been stored in your store (or in a store) for a long time and has lost moisture, has become fragile, then before using it, the required amount should be immersed in warm water for 5-10 minutes.

  • The box is covered with matte gray acrylic paint.
  • To prevent the moss from spilling out, a sheet of cardboard is placed at the bottom of the box.
  • The pre-soaked moss is squeezed out and placed in a box.

  • The branches are cut with pruning shears into approximately equal parts and placed over the moss.
  • Decorate the composition with leaves-balls of Chinese lila.
  • The branches are slightly deepened into the moss pillow, and light green candles are placed between them.
